“The Malevolent World Dictator”

According to the Scriptures, there is coming a day (perhaps very soon) when a mortal man will rule over the entire world all by himself for 3 ½ years. This is why there will be silence in heaven for 30 minutes during the seventh seal judgment (Revelation 8:1).  For the first 3 ½ years the Antichrist will have to share his power with the ten rulers/leaders of the revived Roman Empire (Revelation 17:11-13).  Because he will have made a 7 year covenant with the Jews (Daniel 9:27), he will come to their aid when Russia and her allies come down on Israel for a prey (Ezekiel 38:12, 13).  He (the Antichrist) will be killed in the middle of the seven year tribulation in a battle with the king/ruler from the north of Israel (Russia).  But when he is resuscitated back to life (Revelation 13:3), the people of this world will be told to worship him as god (Revelation 13:11-18; Matthew 24:15-20; 2 Thessalonians 2:4).  To buy or sell and engage in commerce, one will need to have the mark of the beast (Revelation 13:17).  But the astute Jews will refuse to worship him and will flee to Petra in Jordan where God will protect the Jewish remnant of believers for the last 3 ½ years of the Tribulation (Isaiah 16:1).

Interpretation.  There are basically two ways to interpret the Scriptures: normally or allegorically.  Satan was the first one to use the allegorical method of interpretation when he tempted Eve to doubt God (Genesis 3:1).  Most people who claim to be Christians interpret the predictions that were made concerning His first coming literally.  But when it comes to His second coming, many of the same people use the allegorical method and change the clear meaning of words. The Apostle Peter warned believers about those who twist the Scriptures this way (2 Peter 3:16).

Replacement Theology.  Many folks within Christendom believe that God has abandoned the Jews as a nation because they were responsible for the death of Christ.  They believe that the promises that were given to the Jews now belong to the Church. In their thinking, the Jews who live in Israel today are occupiers of a land that doesn’t belong to them anymore.  Such thinking leads to anti-Semitism and will result to the worst holocaust in human history.  It is called “the time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7).

Prophecy.  Sadly, there are some pastors in churches who tell their people to ignore Bible prophecy.  Those who follow their advice will not earn the crown of righteousness (2 Timothy 4:8).  About one third of the Bible, at the time it was written, was prophetic in nature.  God must and will keep His unconditional promises to the Jews.  Don’t confuse Israel with the Church.  They are two separate and distinct entities and God will keep His promises to both groups.

Personalize.  As a member of the human race, God the Father sent His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to die in your place for your sins…and to rise again bodily from the dead on the third day so He could save you the moment you place your faith in Him exclusively.  We aren’t saved by our good works lest any of us should boast (Ephesians 2:8, 9).  Do you have assurance of your salvation and that you will go to heaven the moment you die?  If not, we’re here to help you discover how you can have eternal life right now and enjoy an abundant life while you are here on earth (John 10:10).
