“Professor, I’d Like Some Answers”

Posted: February 19, 2021 in Bible Prophecy, Uncategorized

Just prior to his being crucified upside down (according to tradition), the Apostle Peter wrote these words to some persecuted Christians: “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense [an answer] to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;” (1 Peter 3:15 NKJV).

Many people today are living in fear, frustration, and without adequate finances. They lack hope as they watch the news and hear about so many tragic things happening all around the world. To such people, every “professing Christian,” who has made Christ the Master of his/her life, can/should be prepared to provide Biblical answers to those who would like a ray of hope to go on in life. Can you answer these questions and back it up with Scripture?

What is the next major event on God’s calendar and what is preventing it from taking place? How does or should this event affect your daily life? What three things must be in place before the “Seven Years of Tribulation” begin? Were the 10 Plagues in Egypt real? What about the 21 Judgments mentioned in the Book of Revelation? What do the four horsemen of the Apocalypse represent? When, where, and how will the “Russian Bear” die? Who is killed at this time and then brought back to life? Will China dominate the whole world? How many people will die during the Tribulation? Why must the days be shortened to 16 hour days? Who are the 144,000 and what will they do? Who are “the least of these My brethren”? What’s wrong with the “social justice gospel”? When will Satan know that his time is short? What will he do to try to exterminate the Jews? How and where will God preserve a Jewish remnant? When is the “the time of Jacob’s trouble” and why is it so devastating? Where is Armageddon and what takes place there? Who is cast into the lake of fire at this time? How long will Christ’s kingdom last? What characterizes it? When and why is Satan released from the sides of the abyss and what will he do? When does God create the new heavens and earth? What determines a person’s eternal destiny? Are you absolutely sure that you will go to heaven the moment you die? Why should God let you into His heaven? If you believe you’re saved, is there anything you could do or fail to do that would cause you to lose your salvation? If so, what?

Having Biblical answers to these and other questions won’t save anyone but it may give you an opportunity to share with lost people the Good News that Christ died for our sins…and rose again bodily from the dead on the third day. Any and all who place their faith and trust in Him alone, apart from their good works, will be saved.
