When are they going to stop? They seem to keep on coming one after another. Hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, and other disasters are in the news almost daily. On top of that, there are wars and rumors of war that are causing many people, especially the Japanese, to be fearful for their lives. Some people in our country are wondering about being attacked by the North Koreans one of these days. Are we one the brink of World War III? Are you hiding your head in the sand, hoping that nothing bad is going to happen? The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

Future. Do you know what God says is going to happen in the future? If you read the Book of Revelation, and interpret in normally, as we should, the future is going to get far worse before things get better. God is going to allow a man (the Antichrist) to have control over this world for 7 years (Daniel 9:27). If God were to allow him to rule any longer, no flesh on earth would survive (Matthew 24:22). This man will be empowered by the devil and assisted by the false prophet (Revelation 13). The ten rulers from the revived Roman Empire will elevate this man and give him their power. The apostate church will also be behind him (Revelation 17, 18).

Peace. Only after the Prince of Peace,” the Lord Jesus Christ, returns to this earth to rule and reign for 1,000 years will there be true and lasting peace (Isaiah 2:4; 9:6, 7; Revelation 19, 20). During Christ’s reign over the earth, the devil will be be bound in the Abyss in the heart of the earth (Revelation 20:1-3). The sin nature of man will be curbed by virtue of all his needs being amply supplied (Isaiah 35:1ff). The devil’s world system will not be around to tempt people either (John 18:36; See 1 John 2:15-17). After the 1,000 years, the eternal state will be ushered in with the creation of a new heavens and earth in which righteousness will finally settle down and feel at home (2 Peter 3:10-13).

Weapons. We’re told that mankind has enough nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons at their disposal to wipe off every living thing on earth. But thankfully there is Someone who all knowing and all powerful (Isaiah 46:10; John 2:24, 25; Revelation 1:8). He is the One who sets the limitations as to how much He will allow men to do. Knowing what God has said about future events can calm the soul and give us hope (John 14:1-3; Philippians 4:4-8; Romans 15:4). Our hope is not wishful thinking but a confident expectation based on a promise from God. God cannot and will not lie to us (Titus 1:2).

Refuge. The Jewish Psalmist wrote, God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be moved, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah…Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah” (Psalm 46:1-3, 10, 11 NKJV). The God of the Christians is the same God. We can trust Him as the believing Jews did.

Personalize. Does it seem like your world is falling apart too? Are you suffering from a debilitating illness, emotional anxiety, or from an uncertain future? Whatever mountains are crumbling around you, take the high ground and stop striving. Initially, be quiet. Listen to the whisper of God behind the roar of your circumstances. You can hear Him, even in the whirlwind, but you have to be still to listen. Then, ultimately, be convinced. God may change your circumstances…Most of all, He wants to change you. Be assured that God is for you [if you’re a Christian], not against you; that He is working behind the scenes for your highest good (Romans 8:28-30).” – Chuck Swindoll, Esther, p. 7.

Caution. God won’t give you any new revelation (information) today. The Scriptures, found in the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, are complete (1 Corinthians 13:10). But He will illuminate your mind to the truth of His written, revealed Word if you are a maturing Christian who is rightly related to God the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14; Ephesians 5:18; Galatians 5:15, 25). Carnal Christians need to confess their sins to God before they can expect or hope to be illuminated to the truth in God’s Word (1 John 1:9; James 5:16). Beware of false forms of meditation (See Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:2; 1 Timothy 4:15).  Know the difference between the Scriptures that are for us and which are addressed to us (Titus 1:9; 2 Timothy 2:15).

Christians. Not everyone who claims to be a Christian is a genuine Christian. There are many people who are Professing Christians” as long as it’s the popular thing to do and they aren’t persecuted. On the other hand, there are Possessing Christians” who have eternal life as a present possession (John 3:16, 18, 36; 5:24; 1 John 5:11-13). We partake of the Divine nature (2 Peter 1:4) from the moment we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day (Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). This doesn’t mean that we will become gods. We will be like Christ’s glorified humanity (1 John 3:2).

Assurance. Are you absolutely sure that you will go to heaven the moment you die? Or do you think that you have to go to Purgatory first? Why should God let you into His heaven? If you believe that you are saved, is there anything you could do or fail to do that would cause you to lose your salvation? If so, what would it be? Do you believe that a person can get into heaven by his/her good works, or by faith plus his/her good works? My friend, you can’t afford to have the wrong answers to these questions.

I salute the brave, American NFL player, Benjamin Watson for his comments on one of the cable networks, even though they cut him off short for saying what he did.  He just happens to have skin that is darker than mine.  He said that the problem in the world today involves sin, not one’s skin color. He’s right. (Please refer to the article at the end.) Let’s talk about the problem called “racism.”

Image. Adam and Eve were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26). That image was tainted when they ate the forbidden fruit (Genesis 3:6-11). It won’t be restored to be like God’s until the time of the Rapture of the true Church (1 Corinthians 15:49; 1 John 3:3). Do you know the difference between the image of God and the likeness of God?

Slaves. Many people, throughout human history, have been involuntary slaves to other people. This problem still exists in many countries, including our own in perhaps a different form. (One example: Human trafficking) The Jews were slaves in Egypt for hundreds of years (Deuteronomy 6:21; 28:68; Acts 7:19). Even after they got into the land that was promised to them as an everlasting possession (Genesis 15:18-21), they became the slaves of their enemies whom they allowed to continue to live in the land. God had told them to get rid of them when “the iniquity of the Amorites was complete” (Genesis 15:13-16; Leviticus 33:52).

Judgment. God used the Jews to punish the wicked, diseased, and immoral Canaanites who were living in the land that was promised to the Jews forever. Many years later God used the wicked Babylonians to punish the rebellious Jews for violating God’s laws and the Sabbatical years (See Daniel 1:1, 2; Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Leviticus 25:4; 2 Chronicles 36:21; Jeremiah 25:12-14; 29:10).

Opposition. God is opposed to man’s efforts to create a one world government and a one world religion. But He will allow a man (antichrist) to have control over it for seven years just before Christ returns to rule and reign over the earth for 1,000 years (Isaiah 9:6, 7; Revelation 20:1-7). If God let man have control over the earth longer than seven years, no one would survive on earth (Matthew 24:22). During this time, over one half of the world’s population will die (Revelation 6:8; 9:15). When Christ returns, He will be the King of kings, and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16). These days may come a lot sooner than most people think. What about you? Are you living in the light of Christ’s imminent return (John 14:1-3; 2 Timothy 4:8)?

The Devil. He’s a cruel taskmaster and wants to take as many people as he can to hell with him. There is no salvation offered to him or his angels/demons. Christ only died for the sins of mankind (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 1 John 2:2). This includes all men, not just a select few (1 Timothy 4:10). We don’t believe in “limited atonement.”

Voluntary Slavery. When people in the Old Testament times were enslaved to other Jews to pay off their debts, some of them found their masters to be kind and generous. When the time came for them to be set free, some of them chose to remain as slaves. To demonstrate their voluntary submission to their master, they had their ears bored with an awl. This left a scar that identified them as someone’s slave (Exodus 21:6).

Employment. In our country we usually have the freedom to choose for whom we will work in exchange for pay. Some people have good employers and others don’t. Regardless of what kind of boss you have, a Christian employee is supposed to do what the boss wants done so his product and/or service will bring in customers who will be willing to pay for them. The masters/owners/employers of the business also have responsibilities and are accountable to God (Ephesians 6:5-9). Every Christian is called upon to present his/her body to God as a living sacrifice so that God can use them for His glory and their happiness (Romans 12:1, 2). If you’re a believer, have you done this? If not, why?

Pride. There is the pride of race, place, and face. Believe it or not, there is just one race – the human race (Acts 17:26). We all go back to Adam and Even (Genesis 1, 2) and then through Noah and his three sons and their wives who didn’t die in the universal flood (Genesis 7, 8). The ethnic groups began to take shape after the flood when the Lord came down and changed their one language into many languages. Thus the work of building the Tower of Babel came to an end (Genesis 11). This is also the time when the continental shift began to take place and the topography of the earth changed (Genesis 10:25; See Isaiah 40:4). As the people with the same languages spread out, they began to intermarry and certain traits began to develop. Some people are proud of own accomplishments and their place/station in life. Still others are proud of their bone structure and facial features. All such pride is an abomination to God (Proverbs 6:16; 8:13). Learn about Lucifer’s problem with pride in Isaiah 14:11-15 and in Ezekiel 28:17. After all, what do you have that you didn’t receive (1 Corinthians 4:7)? “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:7).

Flesh. We all have a sin nature (disposition) that we inherited from our parents (1 John 1:8; Psalm 51:5). No parent has to teach his/her child to be bad. It comes naturally. It causes us to distort good things into evil things that can lead to a premature, physical death (James 5:19, 20; 1 John 5:16). Are you committing the “sin unto death” (1 John 5:16)? Do you know what it is? Hatred of other people can lead to murder as it did in the case of Cain and Abel (Genesis 4). But the Christian who is filled by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) and who walks by the Spirit can’t/won’t fulfill the strong desires (lusts) of the flesh/sin nature (Galatians 5:16-25).

Conquer. Strife and unscriptural divisions are works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21; See 2 Corinthians 6:17). The devil can take advantage of this to destroy people and nations. He hates God and His people, the Jews and the true Christians. Don’t confuse these two groups (1 Corinthians 10:32). God is dealing with the true Church now, but His time clock with the Jews will begin again when the man of sin (antichrist) signs a 7 year peace agreement with the Jews after the true church has been raptured (See Romans 11:25; Daniel 9:27; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 5:9; Revelation 3:10). We hope you won’t be “left behind.”

Anarchy. Today lawlessness (sin) abounds everywhere (1 Timothy 4:1-5; 2 Timothy 3:1-5). It’s going to get worse until Christ returns after the Seven Year Tribulation (Daniel 9:27) when 21 judgments are poured out on the inhabitants of the earth (Revelation 6-19). He will put an end to it when He comes and crushes His enemies with a rod of iron (Psalm 2:9; Revelation 19:11-16). His love for mankind (John 3:16, 18, 36) doesn’t keep Him from displaying His righteous anger and wrath toward wicked people, the devil, and his angels/demons (Revelation 6:16; 19:20, 21; 20:1-6).

Interpretation. We take God at His word. We believe that God means what He says and says what He means. Most Bible commentators take the Old Testament and the prophecies that were made about Christ’s first coming literally. But when it comes to Bible prophecy, many of them interpret it allegorically and twist the Scriptures (2 Peter 3:15). We believe that this is dishonest and makes God out to be a liar. He can’t/won’t lie (Titus 1:2; John 14:6; 17:17). We are not free to change the normal rules of interpretation just because we don’t like something that goes against our thinking or feelings. All of God’s attributes are in harmony with each other.

G.W.T. The Great White Throne judgment will be for all unbelievers. They will stand before Jesus, the righteous Judge (John 5:22; 2 Timothy 4:8). He will judge each one according to his/her works to determine his/her degree of suffering in the lake of fire forever (Revelation 20:11-15; Matthew 10:15; 25:30, 41, 46). We hope that you won’t be one who will be separated from God forever.

Gospel. The Good News that leads to salvation is that Christ died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). Anyone who believes on Him alone will be saved (Acts 16:31). We’re not saved by our good works lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5). We don’t believe in the universal salvation of all men and the devil and demons.

Final Solution. The injustice of “racism and slavery” won’t come to an end until Christ returns to this earth to rule as the King of kings, and the Lord of lords (Revelation 18:13). There is coming a day when all mankind will admit that Jesus is Lord (the God-man) to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:11). This verse does NOT teach “universalism” and that everyone will eventually be saved. “Now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Are you truly saved? Do you have assurance of your salvation? You can.

There is a lot of confusion in the minds of many people within Christendom, especially as it pertains to how a new Christian is to grow spiritually in the Lord. We’re told to “desire the pure milk of the word, that [we] may grow thereby, if indeed [we] have tasted that the Lord is gracious” (1 Peter 2:2, 3). Later, in his second epistle, Peter tells believers to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).

Rightly Dividing It. The Apostle Paul wrote this to Timothy, his son in the faith: “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). To Titus he wrote this concerning the qualifications of an elder (bishop/overseer, and Pastor-teacher). “[He needs to be able to hold] fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict” (Titus 1:9).

Clarification. We have two Greek words that need to be explained. The “faithful word” refers to doctrines or teachings that need to be “believed and practiced,” whereas “sound doctrine” refers to that which is to be “believed but not practiced.” “All Scripture is [God breathed], and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction for in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17 NKJV).

Value. The primary value of the Old Testament to New Testament believers is one of a negative example (1 Corinthians 10:6, 11). We’re warned not to behave wickedly like the rebellious Jews did or expect similar consequences. Also, the Old Testament can give New Testament Christians hope as we contemplate how God kept His promises to the Jews, so He will keep all His promises to us (Romans 15:6). The Old Testament also provides much information concerning God Himself (His attributes). He is faithful to His Word and never changes (James 1:17). His immutability doesn’t deny His mobility. He doesn’t have to keep on doing things that He chose to do only once (examples: create the universe, open up the Red Sea, etc).

For Us – To Us. All Scripture is for us as Christians, but not all of it is addressed to us. Much of the Scriptures were written to and for Old Testament believers, who were living under the Mosaic Law, whereas much of the New Testament was written to and for Christians. Generally speaking, the doctrines/teachings addressed to Christians can be found in the writings of Paul, Peter, John, James, and Jude. One Bible teacher says we can find our instructions for Christian living between John 13 and Revelation 3. In John 13:34, 35 Jesus gave a “New Commandment” to love one another [fellow believers] as I have loved you. (See Galatians 6:10)

Contrast. This stands in contrast to the Old Testament believer’s standard of “loving your neighbor as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18). This was the best an Old Testament believer could do. He was the standard by which he loved others. Only when God the Holy Spirit produces this one aspect of “The Fruit of the Spirit” in a Spirit filled believer’s life (Ephesians 5:18) is he/she able to direct it toward the right objects at the right time and for the right reasons. Note: It’s possible for a maturing believer to misdirect God’s love toward the present world system (1 John 2:15-17). We may use the world system, but we are not to love or abuse it (1 Corinthians 7:31).

Steward. The Apostle Paul identified himself as the “steward (household manager) of the “Dispensation of Grace” (Ephesians 3:1 ff). We see Peter, John, James, and Jude as supplementing Paul’s teaching (2 Peter 3:15, 16). Even Peter acknowledged that some of Paul’s writings were difficult to understand. But, believe it or not, we can know more than the Apostle Paul did because he died before John wrote the Book of Revelation. The Apostle Paul rebuked the Christians in Galatia for trying to come to spiritual maturity by keeping the Mosaic Law (See the Book of Galatians.)  Are you trying to live by rules other than those that were designed for you as a New Testament believer?

Sermon On The Mount. This was addressed to Jews (not to Christians) who were anticipating the Kingdom of the Heavens (Matthew 5-7; Daniel 2:44, 45). It was postponed because of the Jew’s rejection of their Promised Messiah (Matthew 16:20; 23:37-39; John 1:11). God holds all men accountable for the death of Christ, not just the Jews (Acts 3:13-15; 4:27, 28). It was your sins and mine that put Him on that cross. He paid our debt by dying for our sins (Romans 6:23; 1 Peter 3:18). God the Father demonstrated His satisfaction with Christ’s death by raising Him from the dead (Romans 4:25; 1 John 2:2; 4:10). Have you placed your faith in Him alone to save you? If not, why not trust Him now?

Time. God’s time clock will start up again for the Jews after “the fullness of the Gentiles has come in” (Romans 11:25) and the Body of Christ, which is the Church is complete (John 6:37; 1 Corinthians 12:12, 13; Ephesians 1:20-22; 2:15). The Tribulation begins when the man of sin signs the 7 year covenant with the Jews (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 6:19).  This will take place after the Rapture of the Church (John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52; 1 Thessalonians 1:9; 4:13-18; 5:9).

Chart. We have a FREE “Dispensations” chart for you on our website: http://kelseypeach.com/Kelsey.8.pdf  It is not original with us, but is a compilation of material we’ve received from various Bible teachers. This information really helped me personally as I sought to understand the Bible better. It is the result of a normal, literal, grammatical interpretation of the Bible.

Help. It is our aim in life to try to glorify God (1 Corinthians 10:31) by assisting unbelievers to come to faith in Christ through the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) and then helping new believers grow spiritually (2 Peter 3:18) so they can serve God effectively (1 Peter 4:10), and reproduce themselves (Matthew 28:19, 20). John 12:12-19

Like clockwork, everything that Jesus did on earth was on God’s time schedule including His going to Jerusalem for the Passover feast (Galatians 4:4; John 1:29; 10:17, 18). This was the time each year when the Jews celebrated their deliverance from 400 years of slavery in Egypt prior to their going to the land that God had promised to give to them and their descendants forever (Genesis 15:13-21; Acts 7:6). Even though His disciples weren’t fully aware of what was about to take place there, Jesus set His focus toward the cross on which He would provide salvation for the Jews and all mankind (1 John 2:2; Romans 1:16, 17).

Gospel. My friend, you are a sinner like all the rest of us (Romans 3:10-23). But Christ died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day and became our Substitute so we wouldn’t have to be eternally separated from God in the lake of fire (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4; Romans 6:23). By one act of faith in Him, you can be transferred out of the devil’s family into God’s family (John 3:16; 8:44; Colossians 1:13; 1 John 3:9, 10). Today may be your last day on earth (James 4:14). Now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Count Down. Five days before He would be hung on a cruel cross, Jesus made His way to the city of Jerusalem to officially present Himself as the rightful King of the Jews and their promised Messiah (Matthew 2:2-12; 16:16; 27:11; John 4:26). Josephus, the historian, estimated that about 2,700,000 Jews came to Jerusalem for this feast to offer up 250,000 lambs. The forerunner of Christ (Malachi 3:1), John the baptizer had said of Jesus, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29)! The Prophet Isaiah referred to the vicarious sacrifice of the Christ as a lamb who would be slaughtered without opening His mouth (Isaiah 52, 53).

Multitude. Some of those who made up this crowd of Jews had seen Jesus perform many miracles during His earthly ministry. Thirty five of them are recorded for us in the Scriptures. Recently Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead who had been dead for four days (John 11:43, 44). When they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, they cried out “Hosanna! Blessed is He whom comes in the name of the Lord! The King of Israel” (John 12:13; Psalm 118:26). “Hosanna” means “Save now!” The Jews were anxious to be delivered out from under the heel of Rome who oppressed them. To welcome Him, they took palm branches and their clothes and put them on the road to usher Him into the city (Matthew 21:8; John 12:13).

Irony. But sadly, some of these same people would turn on Jesus in a few days and join the religious leaders and cry out for Him to be crucified (Luke 23:21). As He was being led to His crucifixion, He wept for the Jewish people (Luke 23:28-31) because He knew what would take place in A.D. 70 when Titus would come to destroy Jerusalem and its inhabitants. According to one historian, there weren’t enough buyers in Egypt for all the Jewish slaves. They remained scattered as a nation until A.D. 1948 when they were allowed to return to the land that God had promised to give to them. Most of those in Israel today are agnostics or claim to be atheists (Psalm 14:1).  They have a judicial blindness that only God can remove so they can be saved (Romans 11:25; 1:16, 17; See 1 Corinthians 2:14; 2 Corinthians 4:4).

Donkey. Even though the prophet had predicted that the Jewish Messiah would be coming to them the first time riding on a donkey’s colt (Isaiah 40:9; Zechariah 9:9; John 12:14, 15), they were hoping that He would come as a conquering King on a white horse. But this won’t happen until His second coming to earth after “the time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7; Revelation 19:11) known also as “the great tribulation” (Matthew 24:21; Daniel 9:27). This period of time seems to be imminent as antisemitism (hatred for the Jews) grows around the world and the Jews are made the “scapegoat” for the problems in the world. Those who hate the Jews need to read Genesis 12:1-3.

Disciples. The Lord’s twelve disciples had mixed emotions at this time and weren’t quite sure what to expect (John 14:1-3). They had initially followed Him as He taught them about the “kingdom of the heavens” in which they hoped to be leaders (Matthew 20:21-23; See Daniel 2:44, 45). But after being rejected by the majority of the Jews, Jesus had also told them that He was going to Jerusalem to die. Peter opposed His plan and had to be rebuked by Jesus (Matthew 16:20-23). It wasn’t until after Jesus had died, been raised from the dead, and ascended back to heaven, and been glorified, that they came to realize what the prophets had written about Him (John 12:16; See Luke 24:25, 26).

Perplexed Pharisees. These religious leaders obstinately opposed Jesus at every turn because He made Himself out to be equal with Jehovah God (John 5:18; 10:30; 11:57). Yes, Jesus did claim to be Jehovah by His “I AM…” statements (Exodus 3:14; John 6:35, 48; 8:12; 10:9, 11; 11:25; 14:6; 15:1). Furthermore, Jesus threatened their power and authority over other Jews whom they oppressed (John 11:48; See Matthew 11:28, 29; 23:4). Jesus denounced them as hypocrites and told them of their eternal destiny in the lake of fire with the devil and his angels (Matthew 6:5, 16; 7:21-23; 23:13-36; 25:41, 46). The wicked dead aren’t annihilated as some cults teach nor are dead people reincarnated.

Decree. Jesus, the God-man carried out the plan that He and the other two members of the Godhead had agreed upon prior to creation (Ephesians 1:11; Galatians 4:4). He was in complete control of the timing of His death and bodily resurrection (Matthew 12:40; John 10:18). Have you placed your faith in Him alone to save you? If not, why not do so right now? Whether you are Jewish or not, by one act of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for your sins…and rose again bodily, you can be saved from eternal condemnation and enter God’s family (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Acts 16:31; Romans 8:1).

Good Works. God prepared beforehand some works for every Christian to do (Ephesians 2:10; 1 Peter 4:10; John 15:16). We are to do them with the power that God provides for us (Philippians 3:10; 4:13) for the glory of God and the good of others with and attitude of love (Galatians 5:13; 6:10; 1 Corinthians 13).

John 11:45

Wouldn’t you think that if someone came along and claimed to be the promised Messiah and the God-man (Deuteronomy 18:15; John 5:18; 10:30; 18:37), and then backed up his claims with signs, wonders, and mighty deeds, the Jewish people would believe on him (Acts 2:22). This is what Jesus did while He was here on earth. The Apostle John recorded in his Gospel seven sign miracles to prove to his readers that Jesus was indeed the Christ/Messiah and the Son of God who came to take away the sin of the world (John 1:29; 20:31).

Followers. Many people who decided to become Christ’s disciples followed Him around because He healed their sicknesses, fed them, and raised some of their dead loved ones (John 2:1-11; 4:46-54; 5:1-9; 6:26 et al). They even wanted to make Him their King but He refused their offer (John 6:15). Do you know why?  When He began to deal with them on a spiritual level, many of them forsook Him (John 6:66). If you claim to be a “follower of Jesus,” what is it that you want from Him in return? Is it health, wealth, and happiness or some other temporal thing?

Faith Healers. “Modern so-called faith healers and miracle workers do a real disservice to the Body of Christ as a whole and to individual believers in particular with their constant quick fix, televised ‘signs and wonders.’ God is not represented in the Bible as being ordered around as glibly as some TV preachers would have us think.” – Dr. Paul N. Tassell, “That Ye Might Believe” p. 86

Problem. Even after seeing Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead, most of the religious leaders refused to acknowledge Him as the promised Messiah and the Son of God (John 20:31). Why? They loved the fleeting power they held over other Jews and they chose not to place their faith in the “Miracle Worker” among them. No wonder Jesus said, “…it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city [in Israel who rejects you and the message of the kingdom]” (Matthew 10:15). But thankfully, there were some who did place their faith in Jesus and were saved (John 1:11, 12; 11:45; See Acts 2:41; 4:4).

Man’s True Condition. “The heart [of man] is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). “There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God” (Romans 3:10, 11). “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Without God’s initiating the work of salvation (Jonah 2:9; Philippians 1:29), and our believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, as the One who died for our sins…and who rose again bodily from the dead on the third day, none of us would be saved (John 6:37, 44; Acts 13:48; 16:31).

Prediction. Without his being aware of what he was doing (1 Corinthians 2:8), Caiaphas, the High Priest made a prediction concerning Jesus. It was part of God’s plan to provide salvation for all mankind (Acts 4:25-28), not just for the Jews. Caiaphas determined that Jesus needed to die for the nation of Israel (John 11:50). By the shedding of Christ’s blood, God provided deliverance from the eternal lake of fire for all of us (Romans 1:16, 17). Jesus was the “Lamb of God” who came to offer Himself as the Passover Lamb (John 1:29). He died as the Just One for the unjust ones (1 Peter 1:18; 3:18; Hebrews 10:10, 18). He made it possible for us to spend eternity with God in heaven rather than in the lake of fire with the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41, 46). My friend, we don’t want you to go to that awful place. We’re here to help you have assurance of your salvation.

Rejection. Because most of the Jews cried out, “His [Jesus’] blood be on us and our children,” they have been temporarily set aside as a nation until the “fullness of the Gentiles has come in [and been saved]” (Romans 11:25). In A.D. 70 Titus came and destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem and killed multitudes of Jews as God had predicted they would be if they forsook His law and rejected His Messiah (Matthew 23:37-39; Deuteronomy 28:63-68). Even though many of the Jews have returned to Israel since 1948, most of them are living there in unbelief. They will begin to realize that God is dealing with them again as a nation during the Seven Years of the Tribulation (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 6-19).

Future. God isn’t done with the nation of Israel (Romans 11:1). The Jews who place their faith in the promised Messiah during the last 3 ½ years of the Seven year Tribulation, known as the time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7; Daniel 9:27), have a bright future awaiting them. They will inherit all the land that God promised to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants. It extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the River Euphrates (Genesis 15:18-21). The Jews will become the predominant nation on earth during Christ’s 1,000 year reign over the earth (Deuteronomy 28:13). This is when the promised rule of the heavens over the earth (“Kingdom of the Heavens”) will finally be realized (Daniel 2:44, 45).

King David. He will be raised from the dead and be the regent on earth under Christ and His Bride, the true Church (Jeremiah 30:9; Daniel 12:12; Revelation 19:16). God didn’t replace the Jews with the Church as some people are being taught. The unconditional promises that God gave to them will be fulfilled (Genesis 15, 17, 22; Jeremiah 31:31). God has different promises and a different plan for the true Church.

Suffering. Those who have heard the clear Gospel message concerning Christ’s death for our sins…and bodily resurrection from the dead, and who reject the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and who die in that condition will suffer more in the lake of fire forever than those who never heard the Gospel message. This Good News is the power of God unto salvation, whether you are a Jew or non-Jew (Romans 1:16). You can be saved today and know that you are headed for heaven (1 John 5:13; Romans 8:16).

Questions. Have you placed your faith in Christ alone to save you? If so, have you displayed your faith to others by being baptized/immersed (Matthew 28:19, 20)? Do the good works you do as a Christian (Ephesians 2:10) give evidence to the fact that you have eternal life (i. e. God’s quality of life)?

In a fictitious story Jesus once was asked about immigration. He responded by saying, “Remember, even the New Jerusalem in heaven has a high wall that is 216 feet high and 6,000 miles long. At each of the twelve gates there is an angel who puts people through a strict vetting process.” (See Revelation 21 to find out who gets in and who doesn’t.)

Boundaries. Who establishes the boundaries of nations and who sets up and brings down kings and kingdoms (Acts 17:26; Daniel 4:17, 25)? Who changed the languages of mankind (Genesis 11:7)? Who will defy God by setting up man’s one world government (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12; Revelation 13)?

God’s Simple Plan Of Salvation – (In 24 languages) http://kelseypeach.com/goodnews.htm

Recently, while I was teaching a Bible study at our church and over the Internet to some people around the world, the GPS on my cell phone identified me as being at “The *** Inferno.” One of my listeners pointed this out to me. Perhaps some of you who listened in were wondering if it was “A message from hell.” As hard as I tried to remove this location from my cell phone, I wasn’t able to do so. It’s still on there.

Story. All this reminded me of the story that Jesus told about the rich man who died and went to Hades to suffer for eternity (Luke 16:19-31). He asked Father Abraham to send Lazarus, the former beggar, to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool the rich man’s tongue because He was being tormented by the flames. He also wanted Lazarus to go back to earth to warn his five brothers so they wouldn’t end up there in that awful place. But Abraham told him that this wasn’t possible. He said, “If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.”

Destiny. Folks, once we die, our eternal destiny will have been determined by what we did with the Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day. If our faith was resting in Him alone to save us, we will spend eternity with God in heaven (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8, 9). If not, all unbelievers will end up with the devil and his angels in the lake of fire forever (Matthew 25:41, 46). We don’t want you or anyone else to go there.

Internet. The world wide web is part of the devil’s present world system (Ephesians 2:2; 6:12; John 12:31). It’s like a web that ensnares others into his system (1 John 2:15; 5:19). Maturing Christians may use it, but we are not to abuse it (1 Corinthians 7:31; See James 4:1-4). We’ve been told that the Internet is also now under the control of the United Nations. That’s frightening. Who has the power to shut it down? Image the panic that would come on the people of this world if they didn’t have their cell phones or the Internet. I’ve read that if an EMP “electromagnetic pulse” bomb was set off high in the the atmosphere over the middle of our country it could knock out virtually everything that is electronically controlled. This would include our cell phones, computers, automobiles, and many other things upon which we depend every day.

GPS. Most people’s cell phones have “Global Positioning Systems” on them. This enables others to know where you are at any given moment. It amazes me that I can call people on their cell phones and the system can find them wherever they are. All around us there are signals of which most of us are not aware. It’s like the unseen spirit world where we have angels and demons working behind the scenes to influence and control human beings (Daniel 10:13; Ephesians 6:12; Hebrews 1:14; Colossians 1:16). In my case, while I was broadcasting my Bible study live over the Internet, the GPS positioned me in the wrong place, at the “Inferno” in my town. I’ve never been there.

Spies In The Sky. Satellites way above the earth have the capabilities of seeing things on earth. I recall using “Google Earth” to locate the house in which I lived in Japan as I was growing up. I was able to go to the street level view and figure out the day of the week and the approximate time the picture was taken by the shadows and the surroundings. Enemy nations are working on laser beams that can render these satellites useless.

Computers. Some of them have the capabilities of using facial recognition to identify people. High tech cameras are supposedly able to pick up people’s finger prints or information from their eyes. Bar codes and other chips are being used in passports, credit cards, on items for sale to control travel and commerce. Recently someone was able to hack into our credit card information to purchase items. The credit card company suspected unusual activities and contacted us to determine if we had indeed purchased certain items. We hadn’t and so they issued us another credit card.

666. This is called “The number [mark] of the beast” (Revelation 13:11-18). The “beast” refers to the Antichrist’s character, not as he will appear to the people of this world. This individual will be very persuasive and will be able to perform the same three kinds of miracles that Jesus and His apostles did while there were on earth (John 20:31; 2 Thessalonians 2:9; Acts 2:22; 2 Corinthians 12:12). Those who don’t take his mark will not be able to buy or sell without it and many of them will die physically. But those who take it on their hand or head during the “seven years of the great tribulation” will be doomed forever (Revelation 14:9, 10). This kind of technology is already being used on animals and some people, including some fire fighters and police officers. Some of these RFID chips are the size of a grain of rice and are being put into their hands. Some people prefer doing business this way rather than carrying around money and other forms of ID. Do you know how to avoid the awful tribulation that is coming, perhaps much sooner than most people believe?

Things To Come. The Scriptures tell us that two New World Orders are coming to this earth. The first one will be Satan’s New World Order. Thankfully it will last for only seven years (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 12:14; Jeremiah 30:7). If God allowed it to go on any longer, no flesh on earth would survive (Matthew 24:22). This will be a counterfeit to Christ’s kingdom on earth that will last for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-6). During the reign of the Antichrist (Man of Sin) over one half of the world’s population will die (Revelation 6:8; 9:15). It will come to an end when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to this earth to rule as the King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16; Matthew 24:29 ff). Satan, the Antichrist, the false prophet and all unbelievers who followed the devil will be defeated and removed from the earth.

Peace On Earth. Following this, Jesus Christ and His Bride, the true Church, will rule over the earth for 1,000 years from the New Jerusalem which, we believe, will be like a satellite city circling the earth once a day (Revelation 1:7; 21:9-27). The Jews will be the predominate nation on earth (Deuteronomy 28:13), and resurrected King David will reign over the Jews and all other lesser kings on the earth (Jeremiah 30:9; Daniel 12:12). Some of the resurrected Old Testament believers will be judges and rulers over the people who will repopulate the earth (Isaiah 1:26; Luke 19:17).

No Comparison. The technological advancements of mankind are nothing compared to the abilities that Jesus Christ, the God-man has. He is all knowing and wise (John 2:24; Isaiah 46:10), all powerful (Ephesians 3:20; Revelation 1:8), loving and gracious (1 John 4:8; Ephesians 2:8; 1 Peter 2:3), long suffering (2 Peter 3:9), and willing to forgive those who believe on Him as their personal Savior (Matthew 9:6; Ephesians 1:7). But He is also holy (1 Peter 1:15, 16), and righteous and must punish sinners who reject His offer of salvation (John 3:18, 36; 2 Timothy 4:8).

Invitation. God graciously invites you and every other human being to put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day (Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). You can accept Him and receive eternal life or you can reject Him and it (1 John 5:11-13). Please make the right decision today! This is the only moment you have (2 Corinthians 6:2). Our lives are like a vapor that appears for a little time and then it vanishes away (James 4:14; See Proverbs 27:1).
