“GODISNOWHERE”

He wanted everyone who visited his home to know that is was an avowed atheist. In his living room he had sign that read: “God is nowhere.” One day his grandson, who was just learning how to read, said to his grandfather, “I can read that sign.” Since he was having trouble with the big word “nowhere,” he broke it down and said, “It says, ‘God is now here.’” [1]

The grandfather was shocked. He had never read the sentence that way. His whole perception began to change, thanks to his little grandson. No longer could he read “God is nowhere.” He could only read it as his grandson did, “God is now here.” (Please take/make time to read and meditate on Psalm 139. It could dramatically change your way of thinking and living and your eternal destiny.)

The Bible calls one who claims to be an atheist “a fool” (Psalm 14:1). An honest person might say, “I am an agnostic. I’m not sure if God exists or not.” What you believe or claim not to believe about God is critical.

In his book entitled “The Knowledge of the Holy,” A. W. Tozer wrote, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us…Were we able to extract from any man a complete answer to [that] question,… we might predict with certainty the spiritual future of that man. Were we able to know exactly what our most influential religious leaders think of God today, we might be able with precision to foretell where the Church will stand tomorrow.”

Another author wrote, “Knowing God. There is no pursuit more important. Paul declared it to be his aim in life (Philippians 3:10). Jesus prayed for it to become a reality (John 17:3). Jeremiah stated it was the single thing over which man may boast (Jeremiah 9:23). Knowing God has a beginning point-salvation-and is a never-ending process. Today, make it your aim. Consciously think, ‘Lord, use these quiet moments to enhance my knowledge of You. Take first place in my heart. Reveal Yourself to me.’” – Chuck Swindoll, “Quest For Character,” p. 60

(Note: God has revealed Himself to us in His Word. He is not giving out new revelation/information at this time. We have all we need for life and godliness, within the pages of the Scriptures. (Read 2 Peter 1:3.)

With these thoughts in our minds, let’s try to discover what the Scriptures tell us about God. After all, it says in words what He wanted us to know. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God [i.e. It is “God breathed”], and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God [i.e. the believer] may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17 *).

God Is The Creator And Sustainer Of All things.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). “For by Him [i.e. God the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ] all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist [i.e. are held together] (Colossians 1:16, 17*). Apparently the spirit beings (cherubs, seraphs, and angels – also called “the sons of God” – Genesis 6:2, 4; Job 1:6; 2:1), whom God the Son had created earlier, shouted for joy when they saw what God had done for them (Job 38:7).

From the mineral garden of Eden on earth, it seems that Lucifer, the highest of the created spirit beings, ruled under God over all the rest of the spirit beings, who resided in the starry heavens, until he rebelled against God (Isaiah 14:12 ff; Ezekiel 28:11 ff). He persuaded one third of the lower two categories of angels to follow him in his rebellion by trying to exalt Himself and take the glory that belonged to God.

When they did this they became the devil and demons (Revelation 12:4; See Ephesians 6:12). The “lake of fire” was prepared for them (Matthew 25:41, 46), but all unbelievers, who are not fit for heaven (John 16:10), will also end up in that awful place forever to suffer with different degrees of torment (Matthew 10:15; 11:22; Revelation 20:11-15).

We hope that you won’t be in that group. By simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, through the message of the Gospel, you can be transferred out of the devil’s family and enter God’s family (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Colossians 1:13; 1 John 3:9, 10).

God The Destroyer And Re-Creator.

At the end of time as we know it, (at least 1,0007 years from now) God will destroy the present heavens and earth and create a completely new heavens and earth in which righteousness will finally settle down and be at home (2 Peter 3:10-13; Revelation 21:1; See Matthew 5:5; Romans 4:13). Apart from “special revelation from God” (the 66 Books in the Bible) we couldn’t know these things. Natural revelation tells us that there is a God who exists and who is all powerful (Romans 1:20; Psalm 19:1; See Psalm 14:1). But this information isn’t enough to believe for someone to be saved (James 2:19).

The Good News, that is the power of God unto salvation, is that Christ died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). Have you placed for faith and trust in Him alone to save you? If not, why not now? If you are a true believer, have you shared the Gospel with anyone recently? If not, why?

God The Son – The Communicator.

In the beginning was the Word (i.e. the Communicator for the Godhead), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made [i.e. came into being] through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made [i.e. came into being]…And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth…No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. (John 1:1-3, 14, 18*).

On the night when He was betrayed, Jesus said to His disciples, “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?  Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.  Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves” (John 14:7-11*).

The three Persons in the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) share the same essence and attributes (John 10:30). But they have distinctive roles to carry out from the beginning of time to the end of time which were determined in eternity past at the council meeting. This is known as “the decree” (Ephesians 1:11).

The “determinative will” came after the various options were considered by them (Matthew 10:15; 11:22). The “desirous will” that God planned for us to do, while we are here on earth, may or may not be carried out by us (Examples: Romans 12:1, 2; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; 5:18). Rewards, crowns, and praise await Christians at the “Bema Seat Judgment” (1 Corinthians 3:11-15; 2 Corinthians 5:10) who do God’s work (Ephesians 2:10), God’s way (2 Timothy 2:5), for God’s glory (1 Corinthian 10:31).

What are your honest thoughts about God? Do you foolishly deny His existence (See Psalm 14:1), or are you a Christian who acts like God doesn’t exist – “a practical atheist”? Are you an agnostic who isn’t sure if God exists or not? From nature we can know that there is a God who is all powerful (Romans1:20). Those who deny this and who aren’t thankful to Him develop reprobate (depraved, unprincipled, or wicked) minds (Romans 1:28).

On the other hand, without having ever seen Him, we can accept and believe the Scriptural fact that we are sinners like everyone else (Romans 3:10, 23; See 1 John 3:4), and that we deserve to be punished (Romans 6:23). While none of us has been as bad as we could be, we are all as bad off as we can be if we aren’t saved and if we end up in the lake of fire forever (Romans 6:23; Matthew 25:41, 46; Revelation 21:8).

But God the Father loved the people of this world (John 3:16). God the Son volunteered to come down to this sin cursed earth (Hebrews 10:7, 9) to glorify God the Father (John 17:4), and to die in our place for our sins. But He rose again from the dead so He could save any and all who would believe on Him as their personal Savior. Christ’s bodily resurrection and His acceptance by the Father back into heaven proves to us that His work on the cross satisfied God the Father’s outraged holiness against our sin (Romans 4:25; 1 John 2:2).

The God who created the heavens and the earth is concerned about you. “[He] desires all men (which includes you and me) to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4). Have you placed your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone to save you? If not, why not now?  Do you have assurance of your salvation? If you are a true Christian, are you growing spiritually, serving effectively, and sharing the Gospel regularly with others as you are being led by God the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14)?

Bad News & Good News” https://kelseypeach.wordpress.com/2019/04/24/the-bad-news-the-good-news/

The greatest miracle that ever took place was the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ out from among the dead ones. On at least 10 separate occasions, and to over 500 brethren, He appeared to show Himself alive after dying on the cross for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:1-8). Jesus predicted His own death on the cross and His bodily resurrection from the dead (John 2:19; 10:17, 18). His resurrection guarantees the bodily resurrection of every human being who has died (1 Corinthians 15:22). Rather than just one general resurrection at the end of time, there will be four more resurrections that occur at different times in the future (1 Corinthians 15:23, 24, 51, 52; Revelation 11:11). Do you know in which one you will participate? Some cults teach the annihilation of the wicked dead; other religions teach reincarnation. Neither of these are taught in the Scriptures which is absolute truth (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17).

Atheists. There are many people who arrogantly claim to be atheists (those who don’t believe there is a god). If they were honest, they would say they are agnostics (those who aren’t sure if God exists or not). The Scriptures calls atheists fools (Psalm 14:1). The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard” (Psalm 19:1-3). From nature we can learn that there is a God who is powerful (Romans 1:20).  But believing this alone isn’t enough for a person to be saved from the lake of fire (James 2:18-20).  We must know and believe the facts of the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) and then transfer our faith and trust over to Christ alone to save us from the lake of fireHave you done this yet?  If not, why not now?  You have no guarantee that you will be alive at the end of today (James 4:14; Proverbs 27:1).

Imagine. John Lennon, of the Beatles, who expressed himself in his song “Imagine,” wanted people to deny the existence of heaven and hell. Those who deny their existence shouldn’t be afraid of dying, but somehow most of them are afraid of death because they don’t know what is on the other side of death. Jesus, who is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6), often referred to heaven (Matthew 5:10, 12, 16 et al). But He talked more about the eternal lake of fire that was prepared for the devil and his angels/demons. It is the place to which all unbelievers and those not fit for heaven will go (Matthew 25:30, 41, 46; Mark 9:44, 46, 48; Revelation 21:8). We hope you won’t be in that number. Contact us if you aren’t sure about your eternal destiny.

Evolution. Most people in the world today have bought into the lie of evolution. It’s a theory that can’t be proven scientifically. God and the spirit beings He created were there to observe the creation of the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1; John 1:3; Job 38:7; Colossians 1:16, 17), and it’s not repeatable. Unbelievers reject what God has recorded for us in Scripture regarding creation because believing it would make them accountable to God.

Liar. Their father Lucifer/Satan himself didn’t want to be accountable to God either (Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:12-19; John 8:44; 1 John 3:9, 10). They worship and serve the creature rather than the Creator (Romans 1:25). The public school system, and most institutions of “higher learning” have convinced them that they are nothing more than advanced animals. Some students excuse their bad behavior by claiming that they are simply following their “animal instincts.” They don’t want to believe the Scriptures which says that all of us are sinners who deserve to be eternally separated from God in the lake of fire (Romans 3:10-23; 6:23), and that we all inherited a sinful nature from our first parents Adam and Eve (1 John 1:8; Psalm 51:5; Romans 5:12; 7:15-25). Not until we are “born again from above” (John 3:3ff; 1 Peter 1:23) are we capable of doing anything that pleases God (Romans 8:8; Proverbs 21:4; Isaiah 64:6).

Abortion. Murdering innocent babies in the womb is often thought to be justifiable because many people think the world is overpopulated. Sinister eugenicists, who often pose as philanthropists, want to reduce the world’s population down to about 500 million people [1]. They want to play the role of God and decide who lives and who dies.

Future. The future is very dark and horrible for false prophets and teachers and those who follow them (Jude 1:13). But the future of believers is as bright as the promises of God. Have you placed your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, who died for our sins…and who rose again bodily on the third day from the dead (Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4)? In whom is your faith resting: yourself, your good works, your church, or in something or someone else? If so, transfer your faith over to Christ alone if you want to be saved from having to spend eternity in the lake of fire. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8, 9).

Song. If you are a true Christian, you can sing Because He lives I can face tomorrow / Because He lives all fear is gone / Because I know He holds the future / And life is worth the living just because He lives.” Bill Gaither

“Evolving Into Gods?”

Posted: September 28, 2018 in Creation, Evolution

Some religions and false cults believe that men can actually become gods. One of the cults believes, “As man is, God once was. As God is, man may become.” There are false teachers today who claim to be gods and who teach that by the words they speak they can bring things into existence. This is what some people in the “Word of Faith” movement do. Rather than asking God humbly for things they want, they demand things “in His name.”  They are sometimes referred to as the “health, wealth, and happiness” preachers. They tell you that if you sow a seed (money) into their ministry, God will cause you to reap a harvest of your own. Sadly, many who believed them and sent them money didn’t get the “harvest” they were promised and have become bitter toward all religious people and even toward God. Are you one of them or do you know someone who was taken in by them?

Explanation. But what did Jesus mean when He said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father” (John 14:12)? Some of the early Christians, to whom were given some temporary spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 13:8-13), did indeed perform some miracles as Christ did (Acts 2:22; See 2 Thessalonians 2:9). But we believe that the “greater works” pertained to the lasting spiritual health and eternal life that the believers would receive upon their being saved after hearing the Gospel concerning Christ (1 Corinthians 15:3,4). The people whom Christ healed and resuscitated back from death eventually died again.

Temptation. When the devil, through the serpent, told Eve that by eating the forbidden fruit that she would become like God, what did he mean? Why was it so appealing to her? Which part of what the devil suggested to her was true, and which part was a lie? Was the concept of evolution around long before Charles Darwin came on the scene? Why do some people believe that mankind is evolving upward rather than morally degenerating downward? (See Romans 1:18 ff; 1 Timothy 4:1 ff; 2 Timothy 3:1 ff) Why has the theory of evolution and socialism/communism led to so many millions of deaths?

Quote. Dr. Lewis Sperry Chafer wrote, “Evolution is a humanly devised theory which has no scientific basis or evidence upon which to rest, but is all the same believed by college and university professors and in general the intellectual class. No thoughtful person can avoid the problem of the origin of all things, and the evolutionary theory is perhaps the best theory that unregenerate man can conceive. The unsaved cannot take God and His revelation into their thoughts. He certainly is not in all their thoughts (Psalm 10:4). The divine seeming so unreal to them, the concept of deity has not provided a reasonable enough basis for their minds when it is declared that God did anything. Therefore, being unable to believe the Genesis account of creation and not having any ability to believe that there is a God who created all things, they have devised the best theory that they can, but still with great inconsistency. As avowedly scientific men, they must refuse to accept anything which is unproved; yet in this theory of evolution they accept every word of testimony regardless of a lack of proof, and of course no effectual line of proof has been constructed or discovered. Such men in their unregenerate limitation are to be pitied. No Spirit-taught person will have trouble with the Genesis account of the creation. Having nothing to put in its place, however, the evolutionist must devise the best theory that he can with which to satisfy the mind on the vexing problem of origins.” [1]

Choice. You have a choice to make. You can believe the unscientific theory of evolution, or you can accept the Scriptural truth about creation that was validated by the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for all of our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day. He said, “But from the beginning of creation, God made them [Adam and Eve] male and female” (Mark 10:6). What He said was either true or false. He also said, “I AM the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). Most of the Jewish leaders of His day wanted to kill Him for making Himself out to be equal with God the Father (John 5:18; 10:30, 31).

Solution. An individual who places his/her faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone to save him/her, by believing that He died for his/her sins, was buried for three days and nights, and who rose again bodily on the third day, should have no problem accepting the Biblical account of creation (Genesis 1:1 ff; John 1:3; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-3). Is your love for the temporary pleasures of life keeping you from believing on Christ and His Word? Do you love the darkness rather than light (John 3:19).

Unbelief. There is only one unforgivable sin today that will send a person to the lake of fire to suffer forever (Matthew 25:30, 41, 46). It is the sin of unbelief in the Christ of the Scriptures (John 16:8-11; See John 3:16, 18, 36). The Christs of the cults and other gods or religious leaders can’t save anyone (Matthew 24:5). The Gospel concerning Christ is the power of God unto one’s salvation (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4).

Vain. Are you “believing in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:2) by placing your faith in your good works or in the wrong Jesus (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5; 2 Corinthians 11:4, 13-15)? Do you have assurance of your salvation that comes from God’s Word (1 John 5:13) and the witness of God the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:16)? If you’re not sure that you will go to heaven the moment you die, or if you think that you must go to Purgatory first, or that you will have a second chance to be saved after you die, please let us show you from the Scriptures what God requires for you to receive His quality of life (eternal life) as a present possession. Don’t put it off. “Now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2; See Proverbs 27:1; 29:1). Our lives are like a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away (James 4:14).
