“When we put our trust in the political system to change society, when we become more consumed with winning the elections than winning the lost, when we marry the Gospel with politics, when our Christianity becomes an appendage to a political party, we have confused politics with the Gospel.” – Michael Brown [1]

Prayer. Brown, who voted for Donald Trump in the past two presidential elections, noted that he had never seen so much prayer for a political candidate until the 2020 election. “It wasn’t prayer for revival; it wasn’t prayer for the Great Commission,” he explained. “It was prayer for a candidate to win the elections, a candidate I voted for, but recognizing that only Jesus can save America.” [1]

Warning. “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the LORD” (Jeremiah 17:5). “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God” (Psalm 20:7; See Isaiah 31:1). “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD” (Jeremiah 9:23, 24).

BTW – Our dad had us memorize this and many other verses in English and Japanese during our dinner time when I was growing up in Japan as a “missionary kid.” We’d recite some of them during our street meetings at the Shibuya train station on Sunday afternoons. If you’re interested, view the video. [2]

Man’s Governments. Jesus didn’t try to overthrow the Roman government when He was here on earth the first time, 2,000 years ago. At His trial, when He stood before Pilate, the Roman governor, He said, “My kingdom is not [out] of this world. If My kingdom were [out] of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here” (John 18:36).

Twisted. Some people twist this verse and make it out to be a “spiritual kingdom” rather than a literal “physical kingdom” that was merely postponed until a later date. Why? Because the Jews, as a whole, had rejected Him from being their King and Messiah (John 1:11; 19:6, 15; Matthew 27:25). They wanted a “Political Deliverer” and a “Welfare King” but He turned them down (John 6:15). God the Father, not the people, will set Jesus up as King (Psalm 2).

Plan. Toward the end of His earthly ministry, a major shift in His focus took place from that of His becoming Israel’s King, to His offering of Himself as the Savior of the world, not just for the Jews, but also for the non-Jews (Matthew 16:20-23). Today, Jews and non-Jews are saved the same way – by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ through the message of the Gospel that He died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4).

Mystery Revealed. Daniel the Prophet accurately conveyed to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon what world kingdoms would follow his kingdom which was represented by a head of gold (See Daniel 2:31-45; 7:1-28). After the men of this present world system, which is governed by Satan himself (Ephesians 2:2; John 16:11), have utterly failed in their efforts to bring in world peace, without the “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6), the Lord Jesus Christ will return to this earth and crush all of man’s wicked kingdoms and set up His own Kingdom for 1,000 years before eternity future begins (2 Peter 3:10-13; Revelation 21:1 ff). Yes, it will be a literal, physical kingdom on/over the earth where Jesus Christ will be the King of kings, and Lord of lords (1 Timothy 6:15; Revelation 17:14; 19:16).

Time Frame. Christ will be ruling over His millennial Kingdom shortly after the “Seven Years of Tribulation” are over (Revelation 6-19). We believe that the stage for this event to take place is almost complete. The major players are getting into their positions. But before the “Seven Year Tribulation” occurs, the Church, which is made up of true believers from the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2) until the Rapture of the Church, must and will be removed from earth (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). [3]

Members Only. Those who have placed their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, as the One Who died for their sins…and rose again bodily from the dead, will be the members of this group, “The True Church, The Spiritual Body of Christ” (Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). These people become “The Spiritual Bride of Christ” (Ephesians 5:32; Revelation 21:9; 22:17). Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). The Apostle Peter said, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Gospel. While many “preachers” talk about the Gospel, few of them ever spell it out clearly to their listeners. What have you heard in churches or on the radio or TV? Far too many preachers leave out Christ’s bodily resurrection from the dead. A dead Christ can’t help anyone. “No Resurrection = No Gospel.” Is it any wonder that so many people are confused and unsure of their salvation? What about you? [4]

Limited Atonement. There are those who believe that Christ only died for the “elect.” This is why they cannot honestly tell an unsaved person, “Christ died for your sins…and rose again bodily from the dead.”

Problems. Instead they are forced to say things like this: “Perhaps Christ died for you.” “Maybe God so loved you.” “Christ shed His blood for you, perhaps.” “Salvation has been provided for you, maybe.” “Possibly God commends His love toward you.” “Hopefully He’s the propitiation for your sins.” “There is a possibility that Christ died as your Substitute.” “I bring you good news, maybe.” “It’s possible that Christ died for you. If you get saved then we know that He did die for you, but if you continue to reject Him then He did not die for you.” “Christ died for you only if you believe that Christ died for you (thus proving you are elect), but if you do not believe this and if you continue in your unbelief until the day you die, then Christ did not die for you.” [5] Sound confusing to you?

The Scriptures Are Clear – And He [Jesus] Himself is the propitiation [satisfaction] for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. (1 John 2:2). “For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe” (1 Timothy 4:10). “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought themand bring on themselves swift destruction” (2 Peter 2:1).

Questions. Are you relying on a mere man to “Make America Great Again?” Has God given up on the U.S. for our sins (See Romans 1:18-32)? I hope not. Let’s get a little more personal. Are you sure of your own salvation? Why should God let you into His heaven? If you believe you’re saved, is there anything you could do or fail to do that would cause you to lose your salvation? If so, what? If you’re saved, are you more concerned about politics than with sharing the clear Gospel with lost people? Do you love Christ’s imminent return and does your life reflect this? Will you earn the “Crown of Righteousness” (2 Timothy 4:8)?

God has been and continues to be very long suffering toward us sinners. He is not willing that any should perish but that all of us should come to repentance (have a change of mind) and be saved by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ alone, Who died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day. We are NOT saved by our good works or by our faith plus our good works (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5).

There is a limit to God’s long suffering. He is a righteous God and will bring judgment on those individuals who reject His offer of salvation (John 3:18; 16:8-11; Matthew 25:41, 46). “The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God” (Psalm 9:17).

God Himself knows when the “cup of iniquity” is full and when its time for judgment. He often uses one nation to punish other sinful nations. He even used the wicked Babylonians to punish the idolatrous Jews and deport them out of their homeland for 70 years. (See Daniel 1:1, 2; 9:2; Genesis15:16; 18; 19; Jude 1; Revelation 17:1-6.)

God is the One who told the descendants of Noah and his three sons to scatter over all the earth. But they disobeyed God, set up the tower of Babel to unite all the people. So God came down and changed their languages which forced them to separate from each other. (See Genesis 10, 11.) BTW – We’re all descendants of Noah and his three sons.

Today, as the Scriptures predicted, we can see the stage being set for the Devil’s counterfeit New World Order with a One World Government, a One World Religion, and a One World Economic System in defiance of God. God will allow him and sinful men seven years to implement their diabolical plan which will be responsible for over half of the world’s population to die (Revelation 6:8; 9:18). Then the Lord Jesus Christ will return and crush all the rebels (Psalm 2; Revelation 19:11-21) and set up His 1,000 year reign of peace on the earth (Revelation 20:1-10; Isaiah 2:4; 11:1 ff).

This will prove, once and for all, that sinful mankind cannot bring lasting peace to this world without the “Prince of Peace – the Lord Jesus Christ” (Isaiah 9:6, 7). God is opposed to the efforts of sinful men to bring about their “New World Order” under Satan’s control.

We invite you to read the articles below to learn more about God’s plan for the future. If you have questions and/or comments, we can be reached here or through our website: www.kelseypeach.com.

We’re here to assist those who are teachable and willing to change and grow (2 Timothy 2:2, 15; 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 3:18).

“A New World Order?”

“Nationalism vs Globalism”

“Their Diabolical Plan”

“The Order Of Coming Events”

“Gospel Presentations”

“There is perhaps no more potent power on earth than a [believer] in the midst of crisis. Both [King] Nebuchadnezzar [of Babylon] and [King] Darius [of Medo-Persia – modern day Iran] gave public praise to Daniel’s God [Jehovah] when they saw Daniel’s stability in the midst of adversity (Daniel 4:37; 6:25-27).

Glorifying God. If you’re a Christian, do you want to bring glory and honor to God like Daniel did? The key is your reaction to situations where it’s tough to be a Christian! Consider the promotion you deserved (but didn’t get), the speeding ticked you got (but didn’t deserve), the time you did what was right (but it turned out all wrong) – those are the occasions when your faith is in the “fishbowl.” What are others learning about your God from your life? – Adapted from Your Daily Walk, Walk Thru The Bible, p. 278

The Apostle Paul. He wrote, “Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:12). He also wrote, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18). Was he familiar with suffering? He certainly was. Are they ministers of Christ?—I speak as a fool—I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. [That is 195 times.]  Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep;   in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;   in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness—  besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches”  (2 Corinthians 11:23-28 NKJV).  Why did he do all this?  “…I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory (2 Timothy 2:10 NKJV).

The Lord Jesus Christ. His sufferings were predicted by the Prophet Isaiah long before Jesus the Christ (Messiah) came down from heaven to this earth to live a sinless life and then die for our sins and then be raised from the dead so that we could be saved. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.  But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.  All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.  He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth” (Isaiah 53:4-7). Christians have a High Priest who can sympathize with our weaknesses. He was tempted in all points as we are, yet without sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:15, 16).

Temptations/Trials. “No temptation has overtaken [a Christian] except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).  The Lord’s half brother, James wrote – “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,  knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing…Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him” (James 1:2-4, 12).

Came To Pass. The trials that Christians experience in this life came to pass. Contrary to what one “Preacher” says, our best life is yet to come. The unsaved person’s best life is right now. Without Christ as their personal Savior, their future is bleak (Matthew 25:41, 46; Revelation 21:8). Why not let them know that the Lord Jesus Christ died for their sins…and rose again bodily on the third day? Invite them to believe on Him alone (Ephesians 2:8 9) and be saved. Doing this could earn for you the “Crown of Rejoicing” (1 Thessalonians 2:19, 20).

Promise. “God hath not promised skies always blue, / Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through; / God hath not promised sun without rain, / Joy without sorrow, peace without pain. / But God hath promised strength for the day, / Rest for the labor, light for the way, / Grace for the trials, help from above, / Unfailing kindness, undying love.” Author: Annie Johnson Flint

Help. If you’re struggling under a load that seems unbearable, cast your cares and concerns on the Lord because He cares for you. Beware of Satan’s devices and attempts to crush you with disappointment, discouragement, and doubt or by some other means (1 Peter 5:7, 8). As Christians, we can/should bear one another’s burdens and fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2; See also John 13:34, 35; 1 John 3:16, 17).

The Clear Gospel:  http://www.cleargospel.org/wp-content/uploads/English-Display-Pkg-2014.pdf

We, as the citizens of the United States of America, have a major decision to make in the coming election. In my humble opinion it seems to boil down to whether or not we want to continue to maintain our own sovereignty (self rule) as a nation or yield/submit ourselves to another organization that has proven itself to be a miserable failure thus far – the United Nations and/or the coming New World Order that the Scriptures predicted would come in the last days (Daniel 2:40-43). Why will God allow men to defy Him and set up a One World Government and how long will it last (Proverbs 14:12; John 15:5)?  What should the world leaders be doing (Psalm 2)?  What will you do?  You have a choice.

Lowest Of Men

It shouldn’t surprise us that those who are running for the highest office in the land lack moral character. Are they a reflection of us? Why have we degenerated to such a low level of morality?  There is an answer found in Romans 1:18-32.  The Scriptures tell us “That the Most High [God] rules in the kingdom of men, [and] gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest [basest] of men” (Daniel 4:17).  Keep in mind that no one gets into power without His permission (Daniel 2:21).

Things To Come

About 2,600 years ago God revealed to wicked King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon His plan for “Things to Come” (Daniel 2, 7). Much of it has been fulfilled already. But the “Day of Man” seems to be coming to an end.  During the Seven Years of the Tribulation over ½ of the world’s population will die from wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes (Revelation 6-19; Matthew 24:7).  The social engineers of this world would like to reduce the population down to about 500 million people.

False Peace

The down trodden people of the world are longing for peace on earth. They are looking for someone, anyone to bring it to them. Such a person is probably alive right now and waiting in the wings for the “right crisis” to occur for him to step on to the stage and offer to the world his peace proposal. Do you know what event could trigger it (John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)? (Read some disturbing quotes http://www.arewelivinginthelastdays.com/com/quotes.html)

The Hated Jews

Even though the nation of Israel is marginalized and despised by most of the countries of the world, this “man of lawlessness – the Antichrist” (2 Thessalonians 2:7-12) will come on the scene and make a “Seven Year Peace Agreement” with the Jews (Daniel 9:27). Perhaps this will be in exchange for their right to protect themselves against their sworn enemies whose agenda is to wipe them off the face of the earth once and for all as Hitler tried to do. It may involve Israel’s having to relinquish their nuclear weapons to this man who will promise to protect that tiny Jewish nation from their enemies.  Do you know when and why the Antichrist will break his agreement with the Jews? What will he do during the last 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation?  When and where does the campaign of Armageddon take place (Matthew 24:15 ff, Revelation 12-19)?  What horrific thing will happen to all the armies of the world that come against Israel (Zechariah 14:12-15)?

Far Fetched?

No, the books of Daniel and Revelation, which many people allegorize or spiritualize rather than interpret normally, reveal what is in store for the future of mankind. A special blessing is promised to those who read the book of Revelation and to those who hear the words of this prophecy, and who keep (guard in their hearts) those things that are written in it (Revelation 1:3). Hiding your head in the sand won’t make the problems of the world go away.  There is only one Person who can bring in lasting peace – “The Prince of Peace – The Lord Jesus Christ” (Isaiah 9:6, 7).

Invigorating

It may be that we are about to witness what the Scriptures have predicted would take place. The world is ripe for judgment even as major earthquakes are overdue in the state of California and in other parts of the world. The 9.0 earthquake in Japan several years ago (which our two children survived) was minor in comparison to what is yet to come (Matthew 24:7). The movie “2012” shook some people up for a little while.

The Passion

Mel Gibson’s movie, “The Passion Of The Christ” also brought some people to tears as they thought about the unjust sufferings of Christ. But did they come away knowing why Christ died and rose again bodily from the dead? It was designed by God to display His love for those of us who have sinned against God (John 3:16),  All of us deserve to be eternally separated from Him in the lake of fire (Romans 3:10-23; 6:23; Matthew 25:41, 46). Christ died in our place for our sins…and rose again bodily to demonstrate to us that God the Father was satisfied with His payment for our sins (Romans 4:25; 1 John 2:2; 4:10).

Provision

Even though God has provided forgiveness and eternal life to all mankind, and not just to a few people, it is not secured until we place our faith in Christ alone to save us (John 1:12; Acts 16:31). We aren’t saved by our good works or by faith plus our good works (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5). If someone were to ask you, Why should God let you into heaven?” what would you say? If you included any of your good works, you are believing in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:2) and you aren’t headed for heaven. Get help immediately so you can be assured from Scripture (1 John 5:13) that you have met God’s only condition for entrance into heaven (Acts 4:12; 16:31).

Gospel

The Good News (Gospel) that we must believe to be saved is that Christ died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day” (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). Believing in/on Christ through this message will result in our being saved from the lake of fire and entering heaven.

Our Son Bill’s Death https://kelseypeach.wordpress.com/2016/04/16/the-death-of-our-son-2/

Recently, while relaxing in the hot springs, mineral pool just outside of town, I met a man who asked me a question that surprised me at first. He said, “Are you a Pre, Mid, or Post-Trib man?” Not too many strangers have asked me that question. Before answering him, I was curious to find out some things about his background. So I asked him how he came across this information and why he would ask me a question like this?

Persecution. He told me about his religious background and the churches he’d attended and his shock to learn how some religious groups have persecuted others in the name of Christ, Allah, or some other religious leader. Do you happen to know which reformer Adolf Hitler quoted to justify himself for the murder of millions of Jews? Why are the Jews hated by other religions and by many people who call themselves Christians? Why is anti-Semitism growing again? Is there another greater holocaust looming in the near future? Will the Jews who now live in Israel be chased out again? Will they ever inherit the land that God promised to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants? Has the church replaced Israel?

Upside Down. With the world situation exponentially getting worse by the day, where good is being called evil, and evil is being called good (Isaiah 5:20), it makes one wonder what is really happening in our world today. Will things continue to get worse until there will be no return to civility or should we expect a great revival and new world order to come out of the current economic, religious, and political crisis?

Peace. Sane people want peace on earth. But how it is achieved and who will rule over such a world is up for grabs. We have many power hungry and wicked rulers in our world today. God allows them to rule for a time and then brings them down (Daniel 4:17, 25). As has been said, “Power corrupts; Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” We must ask, “Is there any human being alive or one to come who should have or be given absolute sovereignty and power over the lives of other people?” Do we need a world dictator? Will we get one whether we want one or not?

N.W.O. The Scriptures tell us about the “New Word Order.” In fact it speaks of two new world orders. There is one that seems to be rapidly rising on the horizon today. The Jewish prophet Daniel predicted this about 2,600 years ago as God reveled to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon the course of future events and the world empires (Daniel 2).

Questions. What world empires did he describe and what is the final world empire over which one man will rule? From what part of the world will he rise? Who will empower him? Who will be his associate with the same power that he has? Do you know what groups will push this man into power? With whom will he have to share the power and for how long will it be before he becomes the single, most powerful human being who has ever lived? What event will thrust him into such a position? Why will people need “the mark of the beast” to buy, sell, or trade? How will he come to his end? Why does his rule need to be cut short and how and when will it be accomplished?

Chronology. Does it really matter what one believes about the future? How would you answer someone who might ask you the question that I was asked recently? Should we give careful consideration to the Scriptures or should we just expect the worst and hope for the best? What is the blessed, comforting, and purifying hope of the true Christian?

Tranquility. Would you be interested in securing not only peace with God once and for all (Romans 5:1) but also in enjoying the peace of  God that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:6, 7) every day of your life?

The Seven Years Of Tribulation

Jesus forewarned His disciples that they should expect to be persecuted by the devil and his crowd and suffer tribulation (John 15:20; 16:2, 33; 2 Timothy 3:12).  But this opposition is not to be confused with the “The 70th Week of Daniel” (also known as “The Tribulation”) that will follow shortly after the Rapture of the true church takes place on earth (Daniel 9:27).

Interval.  Between the Rapture and “The Tribulation” apparently something will happen that will cause most of the Jews from around the world to return to Israel to be there when the 7 year peace agreement is made between them and the Antichrist (Daniel 9:27).  Ten kings (rulers) from the Revived Roman Empire must also be in power (Revelation 17:13) and the world wide harlot religion must also be in place and have power (Revelation 17:3).

Singed.  Once this peace agreement is signed, the last 7 years of Daniel’s prophecy will begin to take place.  It appears that the diplomats of our world are working very hard to bring about peace in the middle east.  But they aren’t recognizing God in this peace process even though the United Nation uses a phrase from the prophecy of Isaiah on one of their buildings.  “He [Jesus the Messiah] shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore” (Isaiah 2:4).

Seals.  The “Seven Seal Judgments” will take place for 3 ½ years during the first half of “The Tribulation” (Revelation 6:1-6; 8:1).  These seal judgments won’t hurt the Jews.  The four horses represent conditions on the earth: The white horse represents a false peace agreement made by Antichrist and Israel.  The Red horse represents a time of war when the Antichrist will destroy three of the kings who helped put him in power (Daniel 2:43; 7:23ff; Revelation 13:1).  The black horse represents famine that will follow war.  The pale horse represents death when one fourth of the world’s population will die.  The martyrs of the fifth seal will be Gentile believers who oppose the apostate church.  The sixth seal seems to involve the war between the Russians (Ezekiel 38:2, 22) and their Arab allies (Ezekiel 38:5) who will come to take a spoil from the land of Israel who will be prospering at this time (Ezekiel 38:11ff).  The Antichrist and the western confederacy will come to the aid of Israel (Ezekiel 38:13ff).  During this battle (that seems to involve nuclear weapons) the Antichrist will be killed but will come back to life (Revelation 13:3, 12, 14).  During the seventh seal there will be silence in heaven because, for the first time, a man will have complete world wide domination as never before.

Middle.  At the middle point of the Tribulation things will drastically change for the worse.  When the Jews fail to bow down to the Antichrist’s image that will be set up in the rebuilt temple by the false prophet and they refuse to accept the Antichrist as the Messiah (Revelation 13:11-18), he will break his agreement with the Jews (Daniel 9:27), stop their sacrifices and begin to persecute and try to annihilate them (Matthew 24:15ff).  During this time Satan will lose a battle in heaven with Michael and his angels and he (devil) will be cast down to earth (Revelation 12:7-10).  The majority of the Jews will flee to the wilderness where God will protect them for the last 3 ½ years of the Great Tribulation in Petra/Sela (Isaiah 16:1).  The Jews will begin to realize that God is dealing with them (Ezekiel 39:7).  He isn’t dealing with them as a nation today (Romans 11:25).  At this time a 144,000 Jews from the twelve tribes will be sealed and go forth to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom to the whole world (Matthew 24:14).  Two Jewish witnesses will be in Jerusalem performing miracles for 3 1/2 years (Revelation 11:3-12; Malachi 4:5).

Trumpets.  The seven trumpet judgments seem to be related primarily to the Jewish nation (Revelation 8:2-9:21; 11:15-19).  They will suffer from hail and fire in the first judgment.  The second judgment will involve a meteor falling into the Sea where 1/3 of it turns to blood.  During the third judgment wormwood will pollute 1/3 of the streams and rivers.  The days on earth will be shortened to 16 hour days during the fourth judgment (Revelation 8:12; Matthew 24:22). During the fifth judgment demons will be released from the Abyss to torment the men on earth for five months if they don’t have God’s seal on them. The sixth judgment will involve the deaths of 1/3 more of the world’s population. The seventh judgment will usher in God’s kingdom.

Bowls.  These seven judgments seem to affect the Gentiles the most(Revelation 15, 16).  The first judgment will bring boils on men with the mark of the beast.  During the second judgment all the seas will turn to blood.  People will have to drink bloody water during the third judgment.  The sun will heat up seven times during the fourth judgment (Isaiah 30:26).  Darkness will come on the Beast’s throne in Rome during the fifth seal.  All the armies of the world will converge on the Jews at Armageddon in northern Israel during the sixth judgment.  The seventh judgment will involve a great earthquake and Jerusalem will be divided.

Strange.  It seems strange that many people within Christendom accept the plagues that took place in Egypt as being literal (Exodus 5-11) but when it comes to these future judgments they want to allegorize them by changing the intended meaning of some of these symbols.

Peace.  We all want peace on earth.  But when and how will it come?  Who will bring it in?  Before God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ comes back to this earth to rule and reign, the men of the world will do their best to try to bring in peace without the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6, 7).  On whose side do you want to be – on God’s side or the devil’s?  Will you escape this awful time that is coming to this earth?

Urgent.  With all that is happening in our world today, it doesn’t seem that these events mentioned in the Scriptures are far off.  Now is the day of salvation.  Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ who died for all our sins (once for all)…and who rose again bodily on the third day (Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 15;3, 4).  He alone can save you from hell and take you to heaven.  We aren’t saved by our good works lest any of us should boast (Ephesians 2:8, 9).

Help.  If you aren’t sure of your eternal destiny, we’d be happy to show you from the Scriptures how you can be certain that you will go to heaven when you die (1 John 5:13).  Call us at 805-238-3549 or visit our website at www.kelseypeach.com.

“Satan’s Masterpiece”

Posted: November 8, 2012 in Bible Prophecy, Daniel

Contrary to what most people think, the devil is not ugly or unappealing. He doesn’t wear a red suit and have a pitch fork in his hand. This visual image was developed in the Middle Ages to convey to the uneducated people, who couldn’t read or write, that he is the evil one who comes out of hell to torment people. But he’s not even in hell now and won’t be there for some time yet (Revelation 20). In fact, do you know what he is doing and where he spends most of his time now (Revelation 12:10)?
Warped. He’d be delighted if people kept thinking of him as being grotesque and undesirable. That way they won’t recognize him or his counterfeit Christ when he comes on the scene, perhaps sooner than most people realize. The people and leaders of the world are clamoring for someone to take charge of the terrible condition in which we find ourselves.
White. His name “Lucifer” refers to him as the bright and shining one. He is not the spirit brother of Jesus. He can appear as an angel of light to deceive others (2 Corinthians 11:14). He has convinced many otherwise smart people into believing the lie of evolution that says man is getting better and better and progressing upward. It’s true, man may be advancing in technology, but his morals are going down into the sewer. He will never become a god.
Wars. Man can’t seem to bring peace to this earth. Since its inception the U.N. has been a dismal failure. Satan can’t control the sin nature of man that causes men to kill each other (Galatians 5:19-21). This nature was acquired when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit.
World. This is why he developed the present world system, in the days of Cain (Genesis 4; Luke 11:50, 51), to try to keep man’s sin nature under control. Although he is a murderer (John 8:44), he doesn’t want to get rid of all the human population. Otherwise he wouldn’t have any humans over which to rule. He’s very selective about those whom he wants to keep alive. He isn’t happy with drunken bums in the gutter. That is bad advertising for him. He wants his people to be upright citizens in the community but who act independently of God. This was what led to his fall (Isaiah 14:14ff). Are you acting independently of God?
Waiting. Satan has a man waiting and ready to fill the role of the counterfeit Messiah. He is probably alive today. He will come out of the countries that made up the Roman Empire or from the United States or Canada (Daniel 7:24ff; Revelation 13:1ff). We believe that the two “young lions” that come from Tarshish (England) can refer to the United States or Canada (Ezekiel 38:13).
Winsome.  Because of his charisma, the “Antichrist” will wow the unsuspecting people of the world (1 John 5:19) and their leaders who will include him among the ten horns (kings) of the revived countries that made up the Roman Empire (Revelation 13:1). He won’t be a pure blood but a man with “mixed blood” (Daniel 2:43).
Wise. As the anointed cherub, Lucifer (Satan) had/has a unique wisdom and power of his own that he is willing to impart to those who “sell their souls” to him as Judas did (Ezekiel 28:12; James 3:15). Satan offered to Jesus the kingdoms of this world that belonged to him and that still belong to him if Jesus would just bow down and worship him (Matthew 4:8, 9). By doing this Jesus could avoid the cross and gain the kingdoms of this world which He came to get for Himself (Psalm 2). But He chose to do things the Father’s way (Hebrews 10:7).
Wicked. The Antichrist’s wickedness will be on display for all the world to see during the “Seven Years of Tribulation“(Revelation 6-19). He will demand to have his own way when he gains absolute authority. He will tolerate no one’s restraints on him, recognize no law or higher authority than himself, attempt to alter natural laws, blaspheme the true God, disregard all gods, show no regard or desire for women, claim deity for himself, honor an impersonal god of war to conquer the world, reward his followers with positions of leadership and give land to them. He will expect them to give him their total devotion and sell their souls to him (Daniel 11:36-39).
Wars.  Until Christ returns to earth to rule as the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, there will be wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6). Jesus is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Is He your personal Savior?
Withdrawn. Prior to the Antichrist’s reign on this earth, the true Christians will be raptured to heaven to be with the Lord (John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; 5:9; Revelation 3:10). All whom the Father has given to the Son must come to Him before He returns for us (John 6:37). Are you sure that you will you be in that number? If not, contact us at 805-238-3549 or visit our web site at www.kelseypeach.com.  If you’re interested, listen to our corresponding talks on the Internet.

When I was going to seminary in San Francisco, I was an associate pastor in “The Little Brown Church” by the sea in Pacifica, California.  Then I pastored a church in the valley in Delano, CA.  Today I enjoy pastoring a church in Paso Robles where we have beautiful hills to enjoy.  I often think of the words of the Psalmist who wrote, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills.  From whence comes my help?  My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1, 2).  Yes, He did (Genesis 1:1).  As I look out at the hills I realize that between the two peaks there is a valley that may be large or small.  When we get to the top of one peak we can see what is in the valley.

Foggy.  God gave the Old Testament prophets information (revelations) of things to come.  They failed to realize that between the two mountain peaks there were valleys where things would be going on.  They wrote about the coming of the Messiah and saw it as all happening continuously without any valley or break between His first coming and His second coming.  So far there has been about 2,000 years.  But not to worry – a day with God is like a 1,000 years to us (2 Peter 3:8, 9).  He’s long suffering and may be waiting for you to trust in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.  Think about that.

Illustration.  Jesus illustrated this for the people of His day when He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and read a portion from the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 61:1, 2).  But He didn’t read the whole section because He knew that the rest of Isaiah’s prophecy about Him would have to be fulfilled when He came back to earth a second time (Luke 4:18, 19).  They became very upset with Him and wanted to kill Him for saying that it referred to Him.

Progressive.  God didn’t reveal all the information in Scripture at one time.  It was written by about 40 authors over 1,500 years.  God the Holy Spirit superintended their writings to insure that what they wrote would be what God wanted us to know.  Amazingly, all the writers in the Bible point to the One whom the Scriptures called “Immanuel” – “God with us” (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23).

“The Word.”  Jesus Christ, the God-man, was the Spokesman for the Godhead (John 1:1-18).  He came to reveal to us humans what God is like.  After living a sinless life for 33 years, He died on a cross for our sins…and rose again bodily from the grave with a glorified, resurrected (not resuscitated) body (1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Luke 24:33-43).  Yes, His resurrected, glorified body in heaven has flesh and bones, but no blood (1 Corinthians 15:50).  Those who deny that Jesus Christ is coming back in the flesh (i.e. with a real body) are deceivers and antichrist (3 John 1:7; Zechariah 12:10).

Church.  The true Church was a mystery in the Old Testament (Ephesians 5:32).  It had its beginning on the Day of Pentecost 2,000 years ago (Acts 2).  It exists in the valley between the first and second coming of Christ.  It is made up of Jewish and Gentile believers in the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:15; Romans 1:16, 17).  When all whom God the Father has given to God the Son have come to Him, Jesus will come back to meet His Church in the air and take us to the home He has been preparing for us (John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 21:10ff).

Steward.  The Apostle Paul refers to himself as the steward (household manager) of this “Dispensation of Grace” (Ephesians 3:1-12).  He was the primary one who passed on to Christians the Grace principles that are found between John 13 and Revelation where we can find our “Rules for Conduct” for today.  (Dispensations are not different ways of salvation.)  Peter, John, James, and Jude gave supplemental information to us Christians.  We are not under the Old Testament rules – the Mosaic Law (Exodus 19-Matthew 12) or under Kingdom rules – the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7).  Those who try to live by them allegorize (change the meaning) the words of Jesus.  Who have you seen with an eye or hand missing to avoid his being cast into hell (Matthew 5:29, 30)?  See our “Dispensational Chart” for more information.

Clock. God’s time clock with reference to the Jews will start up again when the Antichrist confirms a 7 year peace agreement with the Jews after the Church has left earth (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 3:10).  The Gentiles (non-Jews) will suffer terribly under the 7 seal judgments during the first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation (Revelation 6). Then, in the middle of the 7 year tribulation, the Jewish people will enter into the “time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) trouble” when they refuse to worship the image of the Antichrist that will be set up in the rebuilt Temple (Jeremiah 30:7; Matthew 24:15ff).  All the nations of the world will come against the Jews to try to annihilate them in a place called Armageddon in northern Israel (Revelation 16:16).  They should forget it; it can’t be done (Psalm 2). Those who try will be doomed.

Salt.  The Jews are the salt (i. e. the preservers) of the earth (Matthew 5:13).  They are the reason the earth hasn’t been destroyed.  A believing Jewish remnant will survive the holocaust and enter Christ’s millennial kingdom to repopulate the earth along with some believing Gentiles – non-Jews (Matthew 24:13; 25:34-40).  Right now the Jewish people have been temporarily set aside until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in (Romans 11:1, 25).

Land.  God promised to give to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants the land that extends from the River in Egypt to the Euphrates River (Genesis 15:18).  They will get all of it when Christ returns to set up His 1,000 year kingdom on earth when peace finally will prevail (Isaiah 2:4; 11:1ff; 35:1ff; Revelation 20:1-7).

Timing.  Although we don’t know the exact day of Christ’s return, we do believe He said what He meant and meant what He said (John 14:1-3).  Do you belong to Him or are you still a child of the devil (John 8:44; 1 John 3:8-10).  You can be delivered out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light (Colossians 1:13).

Method.  It’s quite simple.  Admit that you are a sinner who deserves to be separated forever from God (Romans 3:23; 6:23).  Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ who died for your sins…and rose again bodily from the grave (Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8).  Don’t trust your good works to save you.  They can’t (Ephesians 2:8, 9).

Help?  If you’re not sure of your eternal destiny, we’d be happy to share more information with you so you can be sure even before you die (1 John 5:13).  Call us at 805-238-3549 or visit our web site: www.kelseypeach.com. These articles are usually a summary of our talks on Sundays and can be heard on the Internet. If these articles help you, please let others know about them.

Ever since the dawn of human history, when Adam and Eve’s son Cain murdered his brother Abel, people have been killing each other when they want what someone else has or when they don’t get their own way (James 4:1, 2). Covetousness, envy, and murder come from man’s sinful nature (Galatians 5:19-21). We all have one (1 John 1:8).  Some people manifest the religious aspects of their sin nature and others display the baser aspects of the sin nature.  Which works of the flesh characterize your life most often?

New Nature.  To go to heaven we need a new nature from God (2 Peter 1:3, 4; John 3:3). When a person is “born again from above” he doesn’t lose his old sin nature. He simply adds a new nature to himself.  It enables him to be pleasing to God (Romans 7:15-25; 8:8). Strangely, we all still have the potential to do everything we did prior to our being saved. Christians who are carnal (1 Corinthians 3:3) often act worse than unbelievers do as they resist God. They are in danger of committing a sin that can lead to a premature physical death (1 John 5:16). Do you know what this involves?

Control.  Do you know how to keep your sin nature under control? There is a Biblical way to guarantee that you won’t carry out the sinful desires that come from your sin nature (Galatians 5:16, 25). Do you need some help understanding what these verses mean? Are you interested in living victoriously over your three spiritual enemies: the devil, the world system, and your own sin nature?  Each enemy requires different tactics.  If you need help, ask us.

Distress.  Let me illustrate one of  man’s basic problems. Stay with me.  After the Babylonian captivity (about 2,500 years ago) the Jews were permitted by the Persian (Iranian) King Cyrus to return to Israel and rebuild the city of Jerusalem and their Temple (Ezra 1:1-4). The Prophet Daniel longed to know what would happen to his people in the future. Obviously only an all knowing God could reveal such information to him (Isaiah 46:10).  Their problems were basically the same as the ones we have today.  They fought and killed each other over land and turf just as the nations and gangs do today.  Nothing has really changed over time including man’s sinful nature.  Man is not getting better but worse in his manifestations of his sinful nature (1 Timothy 4:1ff; 2 Timothy 3:1ff).  Don’t blame the devil; blame yourself!

Answered Prayer.  In answer to Daniel’s prayer, an angel was sent to him with a message that brought him great distress. From it he learned that troublesome times would continue to plague the Jews until the promised Messiah would come to set up His kingdom on this earth (Daniel 2:44, 45; Revelation 19:16). Having been rejected as their rightful King of the Jews some 2,000 years ago (John 1:11; Luke 19:14), He postponed the setting up of His literal kingdom on this earth until a later date when He will come back a second time to rule as the King of kings, and Lord of lords (Matthew 24:29ff; Revelation 19:16).  This might happen much sooner than you realize.

Fulfilled.  As predicted in the Scriptures hundred of years before it happened and verified by secular history, the Jews continue to suffer under the Persians (Iranians), the Greeks, and the Romans. During the Persian rule a wicked man named Haman tried to exterminate the Jews. His attempt failed and the Jews celebrate their victory in a feast called Purim even to the present day (Esther 3:13; 9:29).  Hitler tried to annihilate the Jews but couldn’t wipe all of them out.  He’s dead, the Jews still exist.  You can’t exterminate them.  There will always be a remnant that will survive.  God will fulfill all His promises to them.  Some day the believing remnant will get the land from the Mediterranean Sea to the River Euphrates (Genesis 15:18).  It may not be that far off from today.

Kings.  Stay with me now.  There is more valuable information to learn from history.   After Alexander the Great from Greece died, his generals divided up the lands he’d conquered into four regions. General Seleucus took over Syria (called “the king of the North” above Israel), and General Ptolemy took over Egypt (called “the king of the South” below Israel). The Jews were caught between these two regions and suffered much as these two Greek kingdoms battled against each other.  Each wanted what the other had – not much different than what little kids do.  Do you covet or envy what someone else has?  Beware!  Such emotions can lead to murder.

Vile.  The most notorious “king of the north” (i.e. Syria) was Antiochus Epiphanes. He thought of himself as a god. (This is “the lie” that Satan wants man to believe – i.e. a mere man can become a god.  It’s also known as humanism – 2 Thessalonians 2:9; Romans 1:25.)  Antiochus usurped the throne by deception and flattery. He oppressed the Jews terribly and tried to force them to accept pagan Greek practices.  He wanted them to abandon their Jewish beliefs in God and engage in gross sensuality and immorality that was very offensive to the devout Jews. He offered a sow (unclean animal) on their altar and put an pagan image in their Temple.  He slaughtered many Jews and sold others into slavery.

Rededicated.  Mattathias Maccabeus and his sons and other devout Jews resisted this wicked and vile king and eventually took back the Jewish Temple and rededicated it to God. Some of this information is recorded in the books of Maccabees that has some historical value to us but was not regarded as part of the inspired Scriptures by Christ.

Predicted.  God gave this information (revelation) to Daniel hundreds of years before these events took place. What was recorded in Daniel 11:1-35 is now history to us. All of it has been verified by secular history.

Criticized.  Because these prophecies were fulfilled so accurately, the critics of the Bible and those who deny God’s omniscience have claimed that the events must have been written after they happened. Do you believe Jesus, who is the God-man, knows everything (Isaiah 46:10; John 2:24, 25)? Would you want to put your faith in a God who wasn’t/isn’t omniscient? Are you among those who think that God isn’t aware of everything you do and say (Psalm 10:11)? He even knows why you do what you do and will judge your motives some day (1 Corinthians 4:5).  He is also all powerful, righteous, holy, full of goodness, truth, and love. All these attributes are in harmony with each other.  Jesus Christ was/is God manifested in human flesh (John 1:1-18).  Is He your personal Savior?

Validated.  Since all these prophecies have been fulfilled literally, we believe that the rest of this prophecy concerning the future Antichrist will be fulfilled literally too (Daniel 11:36-45).  By the way, beware of those who us the allegorical method of interpretating the Bible.  It has misled a lot of people into believing errors. It changes the basic meaning of words to fit the preferences and prejudices of the interpreter of the Scriptures.  Have you been misled by such teachers?  The Apostle Paul mentioned the future Antichrist’s activities (2 Thessalonians 2:1-11) and so did the Apostle John (Revelation 13).  Jesus validated Daniel’s prophecy concerning the future Antichrist (Matthew 24:15). He will come during the time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) trouble that will last for seven years (Jeremiah 30:7; Daniel 9:27). Will you be on earth when he comes or will you be caught up to meet the Lord before the Antichrist comes (1 Thessalonians 4:17)?

Choice.  You can choose to ignore or reject God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Scriptures, but you can’t escape the consequences that will come upon all those who reject Him as their personal Savior (John 3:16, 36; Romans 6:23; Revelation 21:8). Where will you spend eternity and with whom? Will it be with God in heaven or with the devil and his angels in the lake of fire (John 14:1-3; Matthew 25:41, 46)? Don’t delay; decide today!

Eternal Life.  God’s quality of life is promised to everyone who will admit that he/she is a sinner and who will believe that Christ died for his/her sins…and rose again bodily from the dead on the third day (Romans 3:10, 23; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; 1 John 5:13). We aren’t saved by our good works (Ephesians 2:8, 9).
