Archive for the ‘Rapture’ Category

I salute the brave, American NFL player, Benjamin Watson for his comments on one of the cable networks, even though they cut him off short for saying what he did.  He just happens to have skin that is darker than mine.  He said that the problem in the world today involves sin, not one’s skin color. He’s right. (Please refer to the article at the end.) Let’s talk about the problem called “racism.”

Image. Adam and Eve were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26). That image was tainted when they ate the forbidden fruit (Genesis 3:6-11). It won’t be restored to be like God’s until the time of the Rapture of the true Church (1 Corinthians 15:49; 1 John 3:3). Do you know the difference between the image of God and the likeness of God?

Slaves. Many people, throughout human history, have been involuntary slaves to other people. This problem still exists in many countries, including our own in perhaps a different form. (One example: Human trafficking) The Jews were slaves in Egypt for hundreds of years (Deuteronomy 6:21; 28:68; Acts 7:19). Even after they got into the land that was promised to them as an everlasting possession (Genesis 15:18-21), they became the slaves of their enemies whom they allowed to continue to live in the land. God had told them to get rid of them when “the iniquity of the Amorites was complete” (Genesis 15:13-16; Leviticus 33:52).

Judgment. God used the Jews to punish the wicked, diseased, and immoral Canaanites who were living in the land that was promised to the Jews forever. Many years later God used the wicked Babylonians to punish the rebellious Jews for violating God’s laws and the Sabbatical years (See Daniel 1:1, 2; Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Leviticus 25:4; 2 Chronicles 36:21; Jeremiah 25:12-14; 29:10).

Opposition. God is opposed to man’s efforts to create a one world government and a one world religion. But He will allow a man (antichrist) to have control over it for seven years just before Christ returns to rule and reign over the earth for 1,000 years (Isaiah 9:6, 7; Revelation 20:1-7). If God let man have control over the earth longer than seven years, no one would survive on earth (Matthew 24:22). During this time, over one half of the world’s population will die (Revelation 6:8; 9:15). When Christ returns, He will be the King of kings, and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16). These days may come a lot sooner than most people think. What about you? Are you living in the light of Christ’s imminent return (John 14:1-3; 2 Timothy 4:8)?

The Devil. He’s a cruel taskmaster and wants to take as many people as he can to hell with him. There is no salvation offered to him or his angels/demons. Christ only died for the sins of mankind (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 1 John 2:2). This includes all men, not just a select few (1 Timothy 4:10). We don’t believe in “limited atonement.”

Voluntary Slavery. When people in the Old Testament times were enslaved to other Jews to pay off their debts, some of them found their masters to be kind and generous. When the time came for them to be set free, some of them chose to remain as slaves. To demonstrate their voluntary submission to their master, they had their ears bored with an awl. This left a scar that identified them as someone’s slave (Exodus 21:6).

Employment. In our country we usually have the freedom to choose for whom we will work in exchange for pay. Some people have good employers and others don’t. Regardless of what kind of boss you have, a Christian employee is supposed to do what the boss wants done so his product and/or service will bring in customers who will be willing to pay for them. The masters/owners/employers of the business also have responsibilities and are accountable to God (Ephesians 6:5-9). Every Christian is called upon to present his/her body to God as a living sacrifice so that God can use them for His glory and their happiness (Romans 12:1, 2). If you’re a believer, have you done this? If not, why?

Pride. There is the pride of race, place, and face. Believe it or not, there is just one race – the human race (Acts 17:26). We all go back to Adam and Even (Genesis 1, 2) and then through Noah and his three sons and their wives who didn’t die in the universal flood (Genesis 7, 8). The ethnic groups began to take shape after the flood when the Lord came down and changed their one language into many languages. Thus the work of building the Tower of Babel came to an end (Genesis 11). This is also the time when the continental shift began to take place and the topography of the earth changed (Genesis 10:25; See Isaiah 40:4). As the people with the same languages spread out, they began to intermarry and certain traits began to develop. Some people are proud of own accomplishments and their place/station in life. Still others are proud of their bone structure and facial features. All such pride is an abomination to God (Proverbs 6:16; 8:13). Learn about Lucifer’s problem with pride in Isaiah 14:11-15 and in Ezekiel 28:17. After all, what do you have that you didn’t receive (1 Corinthians 4:7)? “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:7).

Flesh. We all have a sin nature (disposition) that we inherited from our parents (1 John 1:8; Psalm 51:5). No parent has to teach his/her child to be bad. It comes naturally. It causes us to distort good things into evil things that can lead to a premature, physical death (James 5:19, 20; 1 John 5:16). Are you committing the “sin unto death” (1 John 5:16)? Do you know what it is? Hatred of other people can lead to murder as it did in the case of Cain and Abel (Genesis 4). But the Christian who is filled by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) and who walks by the Spirit can’t/won’t fulfill the strong desires (lusts) of the flesh/sin nature (Galatians 5:16-25).

Conquer. Strife and unscriptural divisions are works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21; See 2 Corinthians 6:17). The devil can take advantage of this to destroy people and nations. He hates God and His people, the Jews and the true Christians. Don’t confuse these two groups (1 Corinthians 10:32). God is dealing with the true Church now, but His time clock with the Jews will begin again when the man of sin (antichrist) signs a 7 year peace agreement with the Jews after the true church has been raptured (See Romans 11:25; Daniel 9:27; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 5:9; Revelation 3:10). We hope you won’t be “left behind.”

Anarchy. Today lawlessness (sin) abounds everywhere (1 Timothy 4:1-5; 2 Timothy 3:1-5). It’s going to get worse until Christ returns after the Seven Year Tribulation (Daniel 9:27) when 21 judgments are poured out on the inhabitants of the earth (Revelation 6-19). He will put an end to it when He comes and crushes His enemies with a rod of iron (Psalm 2:9; Revelation 19:11-16). His love for mankind (John 3:16, 18, 36) doesn’t keep Him from displaying His righteous anger and wrath toward wicked people, the devil, and his angels/demons (Revelation 6:16; 19:20, 21; 20:1-6).

Interpretation. We take God at His word. We believe that God means what He says and says what He means. Most Bible commentators take the Old Testament and the prophecies that were made about Christ’s first coming literally. But when it comes to Bible prophecy, many of them interpret it allegorically and twist the Scriptures (2 Peter 3:15). We believe that this is dishonest and makes God out to be a liar. He can’t/won’t lie (Titus 1:2; John 14:6; 17:17). We are not free to change the normal rules of interpretation just because we don’t like something that goes against our thinking or feelings. All of God’s attributes are in harmony with each other.

G.W.T. The Great White Throne judgment will be for all unbelievers. They will stand before Jesus, the righteous Judge (John 5:22; 2 Timothy 4:8). He will judge each one according to his/her works to determine his/her degree of suffering in the lake of fire forever (Revelation 20:11-15; Matthew 10:15; 25:30, 41, 46). We hope that you won’t be one who will be separated from God forever.

Gospel. The Good News that leads to salvation is that Christ died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). Anyone who believes on Him alone will be saved (Acts 16:31). We’re not saved by our good works lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5). We don’t believe in the universal salvation of all men and the devil and demons.

Final Solution. The injustice of “racism and slavery” won’t come to an end until Christ returns to this earth to rule as the King of kings, and the Lord of lords (Revelation 18:13). There is coming a day when all mankind will admit that Jesus is Lord (the God-man) to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:11). This verse does NOT teach “universalism” and that everyone will eventually be saved. “Now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Are you truly saved? Do you have assurance of your salvation? You can.

1 Peter 4:7-9

Too many people have no hope or purpose in life. They are like “wandering generalities” rather than “meaningful specifics” as Zig Ziglar used to say. They don’t know where they came from, why they’re here on earth, and where they will go when they die. What about you? The Scriptures reveal to us our original parents (Genesis 1, 2), why things are they way there are in the world (Jeremiah 17:9; Isaiah 5:20; Romans 1:18-32; 5:12), and what the future looks like for believers and unbelievers (Revelation 21, 22).

The Big Picture. Before we consider the present and the future, we need to look back at a few major events that took place in the past. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1; John 1:3; Colossians 1:15-17). Man fell from his exalted position when Eve and Adam ate the forbidden fruit (Genesis 3). For about the next 1,600 years man lived according to his conscience and things went from bad to worse. God had do destroy all of humanity by means of a universal flood. Noah, his three sons and their wives (Genesis 6-8) were excepted. When the descendants of Noah failed to scatter out over the earth as God had commanded (Genesis 9:1; 11:9), God intervened and changed the languages of man so they couldn’t work together in the building of the tower of Babel (Genesis 11). This is when the ethnic groups came into existence and when the continental shift began to take place (Genesis 10:25). There is one race, the human race (Acts 17:26).

Days. There are some major days (periods) mentioned in the Scriptures. We are living in the “Day of Man” (1 Corinthians 4:5; John 18:12) when God allows men to do “their own thing” for the time being. The “Day of Christ” refers to the time when Jesus catches up to Himself the true believers before the seven years of the Tribulation (Philippians 1:10; John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). The “Day of the Lord” begins with the seven years of the Tribulation (Daniel 9:24; 1 Thessalonians 5:2) and which is followed by Christ’s literal 1,000 year reign over the earth (Daniel 2:44, 45). The “Day of God” deals with eternity future (2 Peter 3:12).

Dispensations. They involve the rules for living from the beginning to the end of time. They are not different ways to be saved. The “Mosaic Law” was given to the Jews after they were delivered from slavery in Egypt (Exodus 19). This period lasted for about 1,500 years. Believers today are supposed to live by “Grace Principles” (Romans 6:14, 15; Galatians 3:10; 4:21). The rules of the “Kingdom of the Heavens” will be imposed on those who enter the 1,000 year reign of Christ (Revelation 20:1-6; Matthew 5-7) when He returns at the second coming (Matthew 24:29ff; Daniel 2:44, 45; Acts 1:11; Revelation 19, 20). This is not to be confused with the “Rapture” or catching away of true believers (1 Corinthians 15:51, 52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Attitudes. “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” – Quote from Viktor Frankl who survived the holocaust. The Christians to whom the Apostle Peter was writing were undergoing terrible persecution. To encourage them he wrote two letters. He wanted them to have an attitude of –

Watchfulness. He tried to bolster their faith by encouraging them to be serious and watchful in their prayers (1 Peter 4:7). He himself hadn’t been this way in the Garden of Gethsemane when he fell asleep as the enemies of Jesus came to take Him by force (Matthew 26:36-46). Peter’s cowardly attitude also caused him later to deny that he knew Jesus (Luke 22:34) as Jesus had predicted he would. But after Christ’s bodily resurrection he was restored by the Lord and became a mighty preacher of the Gospel concerning Christ and the way to be saved (John 21:15-17; Acts 2).

Loving Concern. This isn’t family love, brotherly love, or sensual love, but Divine love. Christ’s new commandment involves Christians’ loving other Christians as Christ loves us (John 13:34, 35). It is like God’s sacrificial love that puts the other person above our own interests (John 3:16; 1 John 3:16, 17; 4:20, 21). To have and display this kind of love, and display it for the right reasons, one needs to be a true Christian and be rightly related to the Holy Spirit so that He can produce the “Fruit of the Spirit” in our lives (Galatians 5:22, 23). We become responsible to direct it properly toward the right objects, at the right time, and for the right reasons (1 John 2:15-17)

Hospitabalenesss. During Christ’s day there weren’t many honorable hotels or inns for travelers. Believers were encouraged to house overnight traveling ministers. But they were also to watch out for false teachers who denied the true humanity and deity and the bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ (2 John 1:7-11; 3 John 1:5-11). Consider the cult members. Question – Do you ever use your home to assist such fellow Christians or for Bible studies (1 John 3:16, 17)? You might be entertaining an angel (Hebrews 13:1; Genesis 18; Revelation 1:).

Action. If you’ve been saved by God’s grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day, will you join hands and work together with us to glorify God (1 Corinthians 10:31) by making Him and His plan of salvation known to others around us.

Questions. Ask yourself, Am I well pleasing to the Lord who gave Himself for me (2 Corinthians 5:9)? Am I abiding (feeling at ease) with my Savior so I can bear much fruit for His glory and the good of others (John 15:1-14)? If I knew that today was my last day on earth, what would I do differently (Proverbs 27:1)? Am I doing my work as though the Lord were my boss (Colossians 3:22-24)? Am I applying what I’m learning to my life (James 1:22)? With God’s help, what needs to change (Philippians 4:13)? Remember, delayed obedience is disobedience (James 1:22; 4:17).

God’s Simple Plan Of Salvation – (In 24 languages) http://kelseypeach.com/goodnews.htm

God Honoring Music: www.abidingradio.org

We, as the citizens of the United States of America, have a major decision to make in the coming election. In my humble opinion it seems to boil down to whether or not we want to continue to maintain our own sovereignty (self rule) as a nation or yield/submit ourselves to another organization that has proven itself to be a miserable failure thus far – the United Nations and/or the coming New World Order that the Scriptures predicted would come in the last days (Daniel 2:40-43). Why will God allow men to defy Him and set up a One World Government and how long will it last (Proverbs 14:12; John 15:5)?  What should the world leaders be doing (Psalm 2)?  What will you do?  You have a choice.

Lowest Of Men

It shouldn’t surprise us that those who are running for the highest office in the land lack moral character. Are they a reflection of us? Why have we degenerated to such a low level of morality?  There is an answer found in Romans 1:18-32.  The Scriptures tell us “That the Most High [God] rules in the kingdom of men, [and] gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest [basest] of men” (Daniel 4:17).  Keep in mind that no one gets into power without His permission (Daniel 2:21).

Things To Come

About 2,600 years ago God revealed to wicked King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon His plan for “Things to Come” (Daniel 2, 7). Much of it has been fulfilled already. But the “Day of Man” seems to be coming to an end.  During the Seven Years of the Tribulation over ½ of the world’s population will die from wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes (Revelation 6-19; Matthew 24:7).  The social engineers of this world would like to reduce the population down to about 500 million people.

False Peace

The down trodden people of the world are longing for peace on earth. They are looking for someone, anyone to bring it to them. Such a person is probably alive right now and waiting in the wings for the “right crisis” to occur for him to step on to the stage and offer to the world his peace proposal. Do you know what event could trigger it (John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)? (Read some disturbing quotes http://www.arewelivinginthelastdays.com/com/quotes.html)

The Hated Jews

Even though the nation of Israel is marginalized and despised by most of the countries of the world, this “man of lawlessness – the Antichrist” (2 Thessalonians 2:7-12) will come on the scene and make a “Seven Year Peace Agreement” with the Jews (Daniel 9:27). Perhaps this will be in exchange for their right to protect themselves against their sworn enemies whose agenda is to wipe them off the face of the earth once and for all as Hitler tried to do. It may involve Israel’s having to relinquish their nuclear weapons to this man who will promise to protect that tiny Jewish nation from their enemies.  Do you know when and why the Antichrist will break his agreement with the Jews? What will he do during the last 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation?  When and where does the campaign of Armageddon take place (Matthew 24:15 ff, Revelation 12-19)?  What horrific thing will happen to all the armies of the world that come against Israel (Zechariah 14:12-15)?

Far Fetched?

No, the books of Daniel and Revelation, which many people allegorize or spiritualize rather than interpret normally, reveal what is in store for the future of mankind. A special blessing is promised to those who read the book of Revelation and to those who hear the words of this prophecy, and who keep (guard in their hearts) those things that are written in it (Revelation 1:3). Hiding your head in the sand won’t make the problems of the world go away.  There is only one Person who can bring in lasting peace – “The Prince of Peace – The Lord Jesus Christ” (Isaiah 9:6, 7).

Invigorating

It may be that we are about to witness what the Scriptures have predicted would take place. The world is ripe for judgment even as major earthquakes are overdue in the state of California and in other parts of the world. The 9.0 earthquake in Japan several years ago (which our two children survived) was minor in comparison to what is yet to come (Matthew 24:7). The movie “2012” shook some people up for a little while.

The Passion

Mel Gibson’s movie, “The Passion Of The Christ” also brought some people to tears as they thought about the unjust sufferings of Christ. But did they come away knowing why Christ died and rose again bodily from the dead? It was designed by God to display His love for those of us who have sinned against God (John 3:16),  All of us deserve to be eternally separated from Him in the lake of fire (Romans 3:10-23; 6:23; Matthew 25:41, 46). Christ died in our place for our sins…and rose again bodily to demonstrate to us that God the Father was satisfied with His payment for our sins (Romans 4:25; 1 John 2:2; 4:10).

Provision

Even though God has provided forgiveness and eternal life to all mankind, and not just to a few people, it is not secured until we place our faith in Christ alone to save us (John 1:12; Acts 16:31). We aren’t saved by our good works or by faith plus our good works (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5). If someone were to ask you, Why should God let you into heaven?” what would you say? If you included any of your good works, you are believing in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:2) and you aren’t headed for heaven. Get help immediately so you can be assured from Scripture (1 John 5:13) that you have met God’s only condition for entrance into heaven (Acts 4:12; 16:31).

Gospel

The Good News (Gospel) that we must believe to be saved is that Christ died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day” (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). Believing in/on Christ through this message will result in our being saved from the lake of fire and entering heaven.

Our Son Bill’s Death https://kelseypeach.wordpress.com/2016/04/16/the-death-of-our-son-2/

If John Lennon (of the Beatles) is right in saying that there is no heaven or hell, then Jesus was a liar and a fraud and you might as well say that Jesus came to earth to die in vain for our sins. If Jesus is not Jehovah of the Old Testament, then He was guilty of blasphemy and should have been stoned to death as the Jews of His day wanted to do to Him. He claimed to be the eternally existent One when He said, “Before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58; See Exodus 3:14). The miracles He performed proved that He was God manifested in the flesh (John 1:1-18; 20:31) and that all the fullness of God dwelt in Him (Colossians 2:8). He was not the first One whom God the Father created and the One who created all “other” things (Colossians 1:16, 17) as one of the cults teaches their people. The false christs of the cults can’t save anyone (See Matthew 24:5).

Resurrection. Just because you who call yourselves “scientists” can’t duplicate and observe a resurrection today doesn’t mean that one didn’t occur in the past when Jesus Himself rose again bodily from the dead on the third day. There were over 500 individuals who witnessed this fact over a 40 period of time (1 Corinthians 15:1-8). His resurrected body had flesh and bones but no blood (Luke 24:33-43; 1 Corinthians 15:50). Anyone who denies that Jesus will return to earth with a real body is antichrist (2 John 1:7).

Be Honest. Do what other skeptics (agnostics) have done. Take the historical accounts of His bodily resurrection that are found in the Scriptures and put them to the test and see if you don’t come up with the same conclusions that other honest skeptics have had to acknowledge. By the way, His bodily resurrection guarantees the resurrection of all of us someday. Do you know in which one you will participate (1 Corinthians 15:22-24)? There are five bodily resurrections (not resuscitations) mentioned in the Scriptures.

Choice. Even though some skeptics have had to acknowledge that the evidence is undeniable that Jesus died and rose again bodily from the dead, some of these same people refused to put their faith in Him alone to deliver them from hell and take them to heaven. They want to earn their way to heaven. But if they could, then they would have cause to brag and boast about it. God won’t allow this to happen. Our salvation (entrance into heaven) is not based on our good works (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5).

Grace. It is not the help that God gives to a person when he is sprinkled so he can keep the commandments of the church and earn his way to heaven. Grace is unmerited favor that comes from God. None of us deserves to go to heaven. But those who believe in/on the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for our sins…and rose again bodily from the dead on the third day will be saved and be permitted to enter heaven and the special place that Jesus said that He would go to prepare for true believers (John 14:1-3). To get an idea of what it is like, consider Revelation 21:9ff.

Real. My friend, heaven and hell are real places according to what Jesus said (Matthew 25:41, 46). They exist forever. You will spend eternity in one of these two places. The Scriptures do not teach the annihilation of the wicked dead or reincarnation. These are  heresies that must be avoided. No human being has to be eternally separated from God in the lake of fire. Christ died for the sins of the whole world, not just a select few (John 3:16; 1 John 2:2). Your eternal destiny is dependent on your faith or lack of it. Today there is only one unforgivable sin – the sin of unbelief in the Lord Jesus Christ that keeps people out of heaven (John 3:18, 36; 16:9).

Profit. “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul” (Mark 8:36). Believe it or not, there is a “man of lawlessness” (the antichrist) who is going to gain control over all the world one of these days (2 Thessalonians 2:7-12; Revelation 13). This will take place shortly after “The Rapture” of true Christians has taken place (1 Corinthians 15:51, 52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17). This event is imminent. We don’t set a date for it as some people have done in the past. But after his seven year reign of terror over the earth, he is also going to be cast into the lake of fire and will suffer there forever with the devil and his angels/demons (Matthew 25:41, 46; Revelation 20:10-15).

Help. Don’t buy into the devil’s lie or John Lennon’s sentimental deception. In spite of what many religious people are trying to do, sinful men can’t bring in Christ’s kingdom or lasting peace to earth. Not until the true “Prince of Peace” (The Lord Jesus Christ) comes back to this earth after the seven years of the Tribulation (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 6-19) will there be real and lasting peace on earth for 1,000 years (Isaiah 9:6, 7; Revelation 20:6).

What do you think about “Things To Come?” Do current events trouble you? Are they an omen of worse things to come?  When will things get better?  What significant events are likely to take place very soon?  How should Bible Prophecy be interpreted?

“I think people should get raptured according to their eschatological view”. – Jack Kelley. “[It] seems only fitting after all…at least the ‘post-toasties’ who think they can weather the storm of the 70th Week [seven years of the Tribulation] with an underground bunker and some survival gear can get their money’s worth. But I fear my prayers for eschatological-justice will most likely proceed no higher than my ceiling. And much to their chagrin, all these vehemently anti-Pre-Trib Christian’s are just going to have to settle for being Raptured prior to the start of the Tribulation, whether they like it or not.” – Pete Garcia

God’s Simple Plan Of Salvation in 24 languages. http://www.kelseypeach.com/goodnews.htm

Contrary to what some people believe, God’s offer of deliverance/salvation from the lake of fire (Matthew 25:41, 46; Revelation 21:8) to heaven is limited to those who are physically alive on earth but spiritually dead (separated from God – Ephesians 2:1).  There are no second chances to be saved, once you are physically dead (Hebrews 9:27). The truthful Scriptures (John 17:17) don’t teach reincarnation. This false teaching gives people a false hope that perhaps if they haven’t been good enough on earth, they will come back in some other form to try again to earn their way to a better place. Our salvation is not based on our good works lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5). It was purchased at great cost by Christ’s precious blood when He died on the cross (1 Peter 1:18, 19; 3:18). It’s offered freely to all those who belong to the human race (John 3:16, 18, 36; 1 John 2:2). We all come from one man and woman (Adam and Eve – Romans 5:12). There is only one race – the “human race” but many ethnic groups who speak many languages (Acts 17:26). These groups and languages came into existence at the tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9). Evolution is a theory (not a fact) that runs contrary to the teachings of the Scriptures (Genesis 1:26-2:7). Salvation isn’t offered to the devil or the fallen angels/demons. They believe in God and tremble but they aren’t and can’t be saved (James 2:19; Matthew 4:3; 8:29).

Deliverance/Salvation. If you’re reading this, you have the opportunity to be saved if you aren’t saved already. To be saved, you must “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” exclusively (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 16:31) through the message of the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-8). “Christ [of the Scriptures, not the cults] died [once and for all – Hebrews 10:10] for our sins [because you are a sinner like all the rest of us (Romans 3:10-23) and you, like we, deserve to be eternally separated from God in the lake of fire (Romans 6:23). Jesus was buried in a tomb for three days (Matthew 12:40; John 2:19; 10:15-18) to prove that He had died and paid the penalty for our sins. But He rose again bodily on the third day.” His bodily resurrection was validated by over 500 witnesses over a 40 day period of time (Luke 24:33-43; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Romans 4:25). His resurrection guarantees the resurrection of all those who die (1 Corinthians 15:20-26). Some will be raised to spend eternity with God and others will be raised and judged at the Great White Throne (Revelation 20:1-15).  All of them will be sent to the lake of fire to suffer forever where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:30, 41, 46). My friend, we don’t want you to go there. This is why we write these articles to help you avoid that awful place. Then Jesus ascended literally, gradually, and publicly in the presence of His disciples back into heaven from where He came (Acts 1:9-11; John 3:13).

Scoffers. There are many scoffers today (2 Peter 3:3) who deny the literal, bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church (2 John 1:7), known also as “The Body of Christ” (John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 12:12, 13; 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Seven years after the Rapture Jesus will return to this earth to rule and reign as the King of kings, and Lord of lords for 1,000 years (Acts 1:9-11; Matthew 24:29ff; Revelation 19:16; 20:1-7).

Normal/Literal Interpretation. Some of these people who believe that the prophecies concerning Christ’s first coming were fulfilled literally, don’t believe that the prophecies concerning His second coming are to be taken literally. Are they in for a shock? Yes!  About one third of the Bible was prophetic in nature when it was written. Ignoring Bible prophecy has many ramifications. These people won’t be loving His imminent return and consequently they won’t earn the “Crown of Righteousness” (2 Timothy 4:8). The “Rapture” is a “Comforting Hope” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18), a “Blessed Hope” (Titus 2:13),  and a “Purifying Hope” (1 John 3:3). Our hope is not wishful thinking but a confident expectation based on promises from God who cannot lie (Titus 1:2; John 14:6).

As Jesus was bearing His cross to His own crucifixion, He expressed great concern for the Jews and not for Himself. He said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and your children” (Luke 23:28). He foresaw what would come on them in a matter of a few years. In A.D. 70 the Romans came down on the Jews and more than a million of them were killed. Rejecting their promised Messiah was a terrible thing for them to do. Most of the Jewish leaders and the mob cried out for His crucifixion (John 19:6). They had said, “His blood be on us and on our children” (Matthew 27:25). It has been on them for about 2,000 years now.

Jesus Wept. Just before He went to the cross, perhaps as He sat on the Mount of Olives, Jesus wept over the Jews. He said, “’O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD’” (Matthew 23:37-39). Believe it or not, this day may not be that far away from us today.

Second Coming. Although there are many people within “Christendom” who say that there is no future for the Jews as a nation, and that the Church has replaced Israel, there will be a remnant of believing Jews who will survive the coming holocaust that will make all previous ones seem insignificant (Romans 9:27). It is called in Scripture, “The time of Jacob’s [Israel’s] trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7) or “The Great Tribulation”(Matthew 24:21). It is when all the nations, including the United States, will come against Israel to try to annihilate them as it was predicted by the Prophet Zechariah (12:1-14; See Daniel 9:27).

Demon Spirits. The Scriptures teach and we believe that at the end of the seven years of the Tribulation three demon spirits (fallen angels) will perform sign miracles to gather the kings (rulers) of the earth together to the battle of the great day of God Almighty in the place in Hebrew called Armageddon that is located in northern Israel (Revelation 16:13-16; See 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12). In the nick of time the Lord Jesus Christ will return to this earth with the true Church and crush those who sought to destroy the Jews (Revelation 19:11-21; See Psalm 2).

Choice. You can choose to deny what the Scriptures teach, but that won’t change God’s Word. “Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89). “All Scripture is [God breathed], and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for ever good work” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17). It is “living and powerful, and sharper that any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents (motives)of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

Interpretation. The Old Testament was written mostly in Hebrew. The New Testament was written in common Greek so the average person of that day could understand it. When we interpret it normally, as we would other pieces of literature, we discover what God wanted to convey to us. The allegorical, non-literal method of interpretation began in the Garden of Eden when the devil suggested to Eve that God didn’t really say what He meant or mean what He said about death (Genesis 2:17; 3:1 ff; See Romans 6:23). He mixed a lie in with some truth as he usually does. He is a murderer and the father of lies (John 8:44; See 2 Corinthians 4:4).

Lion. The Apostle Peter warned Christians about the devil. He wrote, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (1 Peter 5:8, 9). Do you know how to use the armor of God to resist him so you can stay standing rather than falling to his temptations (Ephesians 6:10-17)?

Sorrow. Many people have expressed their sympathy toward us when they heard the news of our son’s death. Yes, we sorrow, but not as those who have no hope. We believe in an imminent resurrection of all the dead New Testament believers (including our son’s bodily resurrection) that will take place at “The Rapture” of the true Church (1 Corinthians 15:51, 52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Concern. We are more concerned about those of you who don’t know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Do you know that He died for all your sins…and rose again bodily on the third day from the dead? He was seen by over 500 witnesses before ascending back to heaven in the presence of His disciples (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Acts 1:9-11). He promised to return bodily for His own (John 14:1-3). Do you know what the Scriptures say about those who deny the bodily resurrection of the dead (2 John 1:7; See 1 Corinthians 15:22-24; 50-53; Luke 24:33-43)?

Prayer. It is our prayer that you come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. We can’t believe for our children or be baptized for the dead hoping that they will be saved. Are you sure that you will go to heaven the moment you die or do you believe that you have to go to a purging place first (1 John 5:13; 2 Corinthians 5:8)? Why should God let you into His heaven (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5)? Once you’re truly saved, do you think that there is anything you could do or fail to do that would cause you to lose your salvation (Romans 8:35-39)? If so, what would it be?

Help. We’re here to assist you if you are interested in knowing the truth in God’s Word that can make you free (John 8:32; 17:17). Are you willing to believe (change your mind) when you see the truth for yourself? We can be reached at 805-238-3549 or through our website: www.kelseypeach.com.
