In the Scriptures we read –“Judas went out and hanged himself” (Matthew 27:5). “Go and do likewise” (Luke 10:37). “What you do, do quickly (John 13:27).” All three of these passages are taken from the Bible. If you believe the Bible is God’s Word and authoritative, why haven’t you done this yet?

In the realm of real estate, they say it’s all about location. When it comes to interpreting the Bible, it’s about context. We also believe that it should be interpreted as we do other literature: normally, literally (which includes figures of speech), historically, and grammatically. It’s not hard to come up with all kinds of heresies by taking Bible verses out of the context in which they were written. The “allegorical” method of interpretation (i.e. a deeper, spiritual and symbolic meaning) has led to all kinds of heresies and false doctrines. It began in the Garden of Eden when Satan questioned what God had said (Genesis 3:1; See 2:17). The Apostle Peter warned believers about false teachers who would mislead untaught and unstable people by twisting the Scriptures to their own destruction (2 Peter 3:16). Have you been deceived by them? Are you being“tossed to and fro and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting” (Ephesians 4:14)?

One World Government. In recent days we have all kinds of people, including “professing Christians,” who have been distorting the Scriptures to push the devil’s agenda for a one world government and a one world religion. [1] Make no mistake about it, the Bible predicts that this is going to happen sometime in the future – perhaps soon. But God will set a time limit on this futile endeavor of man to defy God (Psalm 2). He won’t let it go on for more than seven years (Daniel 9:27). Otherwise man would destroy all life from the face of the earth (Matthew 24:22). Should true Christians be aiding and abetting the devil, demons, the Antichrist, and false teachers in their attempt to bring this about? Of course not (Romans 3:8; See 2 Chronicles 19:2; Revelation 18:4)? And yet, it seems like many are doing just this.

Fatherhood / Brotherhood of Man. While it is true that all human beings are descendants of Adam and Eve and are interrelated by blood (Acts 17:26; Romans 5:12), it is not correct to say that we all have the same spiritual, heavenly Father and that we’re all children of God. Jesus made it quite clear that some of the religious Jews of His day were actually children of the devil (John 8:44; See Ephesians 2:2; 1 John 3:10). Before anyone can become a spiritual child of God, he/she must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ alone, who died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day (Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). We aren’t saved by our good works lest any of us should boast (Ephesians 2:8, 9). Have you placed your faith in Christ yet? If not, why not now?

Borders / Languages / Nations. God is the one who changed the languages and scattered the rebels at the Tower of Babel to the corners of the earth (Genesis 11:8). He is the one who decides the boundaries of nations and who will live where and for how long (Acts 17:26). He often uses wicked nations to punish other wicked nations. Examples: God sent the wicked Babylonians to enslave the rebellious Jews for 70 years for worshiping idols and violating the sabbatical year (Daniel 1:1, 2; Jeremiah 36:21; See Deuteronomy 28:15 ff)). Then God used the Medo-Persians to defeat the Babylonians. They were defeated by the Greeks who were defeated by the Romans. The final kingdom will be ruled by the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ during the millennium (See Daniel 2:36-45; Revelation 20:1-6). False teachers often allegorize the Bible and especially Bible prophecy and change the intended meaning of the Scriptures.

The Least Of These. In what is referred to as “The Olivet Discourse,” Jesus told His disciples what would happen in the future on judgment day to those who did or didn’t feed the hungry, give a drink to the thirsty, take the stranger in, and clothe the naked (Matthew 25:31-46). He said, “And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did to it to one of the least of My brethren, you did it to Me’” (Matthew 25:40). “Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom of prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Matthew 25:34). Those who didn’t do these things will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life (Matthew 25:45, 46). Both groups were displaying their faith or lack of it by their works (See Ephesians 2:8-10; James 2:18-20).

My Brethren. Since not all mankind can be referred to in the spiritual sense as “My [Christ’s] brethren,” to whom does this refer? By looking at the context, we believe that it must refer to the 144,000 Jewish evangelists who will be taking the Gospel of the Kingdom to the whole world during the last half of the seven years of the Tribulation (Revelation 7:4-8). When a person, without the “mark of the beast” on him (Revelation 13:16-18), hears the message concerning the returning, promised Messiah and believes on Him, this person will be willing to share what little he has to help these witnesses continue to spread this Gospel until Christ returns at His second coming (Matthew 24:14, 29-31; Revelation 19:11 ff).

Social Gospel. In what is called “The Great Commission” Jesus said, “Make disciples [true believers] of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…” (Matthew 28:19, 20; See John 13:34, 35). The“Social Gospel” says, Go ye into all the world and feed the hungry, clothe the naked, build homes for the poor and care for the sick, become politically and socially active in order to eliminate the great social problems of our day and in order to impose Biblical standards upon society, or to change the world for Christ. [2]

Red Letter Christians. [3] These false teachers believe that the words of Jesus (found in the Sermon on the Mount – Matthew 5-7) are of greater value than the rest of the Scriptures (See 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16, 17). They seek to redefine moral values according to their interpretation of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and other “red letter” passages. [2] They fail to realize that because of the Jews’ rejection of Him as their Messiah (John 1:11, 12; Luke 23:21; Matthew 27:21), Jesus postponed the setting up of His literal kingdom on/over earth (Isaiah 2:4; 9:6, 7; 11:1 ff; Daniel 2:44, 45; Jeremiah 30:7). He temporarily changed the focus of His direction away from His being the promised Messiah to His becoming the Savior of the whole world (Matthew 16:20; 23:37-39; 1 John 2:2; 4:10; Romans 11:25).

Doing Good Works. We are saved by God’s grace (unmerited favor) through faith in the Christ of the Scriptures who died for our sins…and rose again bodily. Our salvation is not based on our good works lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8, 9; See Isaiah 64:6). But once we have been saved, there are good works that God wants us to do (Ephesians 2:10; 1 Peter 4:10). The Apostle Paul wrote, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:10). We can/should demonstrate our faith before other people by our good works. “But someone will say, ‘You show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works’” (James 2:18). For other people to be convinced that our faith in Christ is real, they need to see our good works, especially as we love fellow Christians (John 13:34, 35).

The Scriptures. “All Scripture is [God breathed], and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17). It tells us what is right (doctrine), what is not right (reproof), how to get right (correction), and how to stay right (instruction in righteousness). -Adapted from Dr. M. Kober. Within the pages of the Scriptures we have everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). We don’t need the secular, humanistic philosophies of men that contradict God’s Word (Colossians 2:8; See James 3:13-18).

Questions. Have you been “born again from above” by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior (John 3:3 ff)? Do you have assurance of your salvation (Romans 8:16; 1 John 5:13)? Are you “rightly dividing the Word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15)? Are you living in the light of Christ’s any moment return (2 Timothy 4:8; John 14:1-3)? Have you been twisting the Scriptures or have you been misled by a false teacher who is doing this? If so, stop! God means what He says, and says what He means. Let’s adjust our thinking to His thinking and our ways to His ways (Isaiah 5:8, 9).

The Blame Game

In your opinion, what’s wrong with the world today? Who is to blame? Is it the Russians, the Chinese, North Korea, ISIS or is it our own country (the United States) that is responsible for the problems in the world? Maybe you’d like to blame the Democrats or the Republicans or your parents, your teachers, the police, or someone or something else? Do you ever blame God? Why not the devil?

Most of us don’t want to take responsibility for our own bad decisions and the evil things that we do. We like to think that it’s someone else who is responsible for the evil, sorrow, hatred, and death in the world. I think that you will agree with me that we live in a very troubled world today. It’s not a “wonderful world.”

The Solution

For every problem, there is a solution. Now, let’s suppose that you were placed in charge of straightening out the problems of the world. What would you do? You probably haven’t given much thought to it. Or perhaps you have.

Would this popular song express your feelings? If I ruled the world, / Every day would be the first day of spring, / Every heart would have a new song to sing, / And we’d sing of the joy every morning would bring. // If I ruled the world, / Every man would be as free as a bird, / Every voice would be a voice to be heard, / Take my word we would treasure each day that occurred…”. Writers: Cyril Ornadel, Leslie Bricusse What obvious problems do you see with such sentiments?

Population. What would you do about the burgeoning population explosion? Would you promote the abortion of babies and the euthanasia of the elderly? Do you believe that abortion is murder? When does life begin (Psalm 51:5; 139:13-18)? Do you agree with the “social engineers” who say that the world’s population needs to be reduced down to about 500 million people? If so, how would you go about doing this and maintaining this level? (Read the Georgia Guidestones link below.)

Peace. How would you bring lasting peace to the earth? What was/is the purpose of the United Nations and how and why have they failed to establish peace on earth? What would you do to control and punish criminals who refused to abide by the rules? Who should make the rules for society? What if there were no rules and everyone did what is right in his own eyes? Discover for yourself what happened in the past when people lived this way. (See Judges 21:25; Genesis 6:5; 7:1-8:22)? What if someone thinks the rules are unjust? Would you like to be the one to determine what is right and wrong, acceptable and unacceptable behavior? Would the rules apply to everyone or just to those who are in the lower classes of society? Would you exempt yourself?

Government. What sort of government would you like to see in the New Word OrderDemocracy, Constitutional Republic, Fascism, Socialism, Communism, etc? What do you believe is the best form of government? Why? How and who in the government would enforce the rules? What should be done with the criminals? Should capital punishment be abolished? If so, why? (See article below.) How would you go about to change the rebellious nature of man so he will comply with the rules of the New World Order? How would you keep people from being so self-centered and abusive of others?

Hatred. Why do many (perhaps most) of the Arabs (descendants of Ishmael), Edomites (descendants of Esau), and Muslims hate the Jews who descended from Isaac and Jacob (Genesis 16:1-12; 21:0-21; 25:31-34; 27:36, 41, 42)? How long has this hatred been going on (Genesis 16:12; 27:41)? When will it end (Isaiah 2:4; 11:16; 19:23; Revelation 20:7-10)? Who are the real “occupiers” of the land in Israel (Genesis 15:18-21)?

Expelled. Do the Jews have the rights to the land? Did they forfeit the unconditional promise that God gave to them when they rejected Christ as their Messiah (Genesis 15:18-21)? Is God done with the nation of Israel (Romans 11:1 ff)? Whom does God hold accountable for the death of Christ (Acts 2:22-24; 3:13-15; 4;24-28)? Has the Church replaced Israel? (Read article below.) Will the Jews in Jerusalem and in Israel be chased out of the land again (Matthew 24:15ff; Revelation 12:13-17)? If so, when? Will God preserve and protect the remnant during the last half of the seven years of the Tribulation (Romans 11:5; Revelation 12:14)? If so, where (Isaiah 16:1)?

144,000. What do the Scriptures tell us the 144,000 Jewish evangelists and the other two witnesses will do for 3 ½ years during the last half of the Tribulation (Matthew 24:14; Revelation 7:4-8; 11:1-12)? What will happen to those who bless the Jews and those who oppress and curse them (Genesis 12:1-3)? Why are many liberal churches in America involved in the BDS movement? Why are they are boycotting, divesting, and trying to place sanctions on Israel? Is the church you attend involved in this? How will this lead to the greatest holocaust in human history known as “the time of Jacob’s [Israel’s] trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7)?

Borders. Should we abolish the borders and boundaries between nations that God determined (Acts 17:26; Daniel 4:17, 25)? Why did God change the languages of the people working on the tower of Babel and scatter them out (Genesis 9:1; 11:1-9)? When and how does God use nations for His purposes (Daniel 1:1, 2; 5:30, 31; Ezra 1:1-8)?

Superman. Why are so many politicians and others pushing to establish a New World Order and a One World Religion and economic system? Do you believe there may be a superman somewhere in the world right now who could straighten up the mess we’re in? Why does the devil always need to have such a man waiting in the wings (2 Thessalonians 2:7)? How might he use AI (Artificial Intelligence) to control the people of the world?

Religion. Many, perhaps most people are religious by nature. They believe that there is the possibility of life after death and that there is some kind of Deity who is behind everything even though most people know very little about Him. Why do so many “intelligent people” believe the theory of evolution that has been promoted in our educational systems (John 3:19; Romans 1:18-32)? Will the New World Order include a One World Church (Religion) under which people will be forced to live or die ? What will happen if they don’t go along with it (Revelation 6:9-11; 13:15)? Why do some people believe that the Roman Catholic Church will be the head of this organization (Revelation 17, 18)?

Economics. Why is there such a push for a cashless society. Is it to control the citizens of the world? Could this be accomplished by the use of special cards, or better yet, through the implantation of a chip in the hand or on some other place of the body (example: the forehead)? The Scriptures tell us that this will happen (Revelation 13:16-18). Are those who voluntarily take this mark doomed forever (Revelation 14:9-12)?

Date. Does the Bible predict that such things will happen in the future? Indeed it does. But when will they occur? The “Date Setters” have done a lot of damage by their false predictions. (See article below.) While we don’t know exactly when the “Rapture” will take place (John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:12-18), we are confident that it will occur once all those whom the Father has given to the Son have come to Him (John 6:37) and when “the fullness of the Gentiles has come in” and they have been saved (Romans 11:25). God cannot lie (Titus 1:2; John 14:6; 17:17). He will keep his unconditional promises to the Jews and to Christians. This is the basis of our hope – confident expectation (Romans 15:4). Do you know and claim God’s promises to you? (Ask us about them.)

Until Then. Every true Christian is instructed to “be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58). This involves our spiritual growth (1 Peter 2:2; 2 Peter 3:18), our service to God and others (1 Peter 4:10; Galatians 5:13), and our sharing the Gospel with lost unbelievers (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19, 20). Our primary goal is/should be to glorify God by making Him known to others (1 Corinthians 10:31; See John 17:3). If you’re saved, are you doing this? If not, what needs to change? (See James 4:17).

Gospel. The Good News that leads to our salvation is that Christ died for our sins, was buried for three days and nights, and then raised bodily from the dead on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). When we place our faith in the Christ of the Scriptures alone (Acts 16:31), apart from any good works (Ephesians 2:8, 9), God saves us by His grace. Have you done this yet? If not, why not now?

Is Date Setting Biblical?” by Manfred Kober http://www.middletownbiblechurch.org/proph/dateset.htm

There is a lot of confusion in the minds of many people within Christendom, especially as it pertains to how a new Christian is to grow spiritually in the Lord. We’re told to “desire the pure milk of the word, that [we] may grow thereby, if indeed [we] have tasted that the Lord is gracious” (1 Peter 2:2, 3). Later, in his second epistle, Peter tells believers to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).

Rightly Dividing It. The Apostle Paul wrote this to Timothy, his son in the faith: “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). To Titus he wrote this concerning the qualifications of an elder (bishop/overseer, and Pastor-teacher). “[He needs to be able to hold] fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict” (Titus 1:9).

Clarification. We have two Greek words that need to be explained. The “faithful word” refers to doctrines or teachings that need to be “believed and practiced,” whereas “sound doctrine” refers to that which is to be “believed but not practiced.” “All Scripture is [God breathed], and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction for in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17 NKJV).

Value. The primary value of the Old Testament to New Testament believers is one of a negative example (1 Corinthians 10:6, 11). We’re warned not to behave wickedly like the rebellious Jews did or expect similar consequences. Also, the Old Testament can give New Testament Christians hope as we contemplate how God kept His promises to the Jews, so He will keep all His promises to us (Romans 15:6). The Old Testament also provides much information concerning God Himself (His attributes). He is faithful to His Word and never changes (James 1:17). His immutability doesn’t deny His mobility. He doesn’t have to keep on doing things that He chose to do only once (examples: create the universe, open up the Red Sea, etc).

For Us – To Us. All Scripture is for us as Christians, but not all of it is addressed to us. Much of the Scriptures were written to and for Old Testament believers, who were living under the Mosaic Law, whereas much of the New Testament was written to and for Christians. Generally speaking, the doctrines/teachings addressed to Christians can be found in the writings of Paul, Peter, John, James, and Jude. One Bible teacher says we can find our instructions for Christian living between John 13 and Revelation 3. In John 13:34, 35 Jesus gave a “New Commandment” to love one another [fellow believers] as I have loved you. (See Galatians 6:10)

Contrast. This stands in contrast to the Old Testament believer’s standard of “loving your neighbor as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18). This was the best an Old Testament believer could do. He was the standard by which he loved others. Only when God the Holy Spirit produces this one aspect of “The Fruit of the Spirit” in a Spirit filled believer’s life (Ephesians 5:18) is he/she able to direct it toward the right objects at the right time and for the right reasons. Note: It’s possible for a maturing believer to misdirect God’s love toward the present world system (1 John 2:15-17). We may use the world system, but we are not to love or abuse it (1 Corinthians 7:31).

Steward. The Apostle Paul identified himself as the “steward (household manager) of the “Dispensation of Grace” (Ephesians 3:1 ff). We see Peter, John, James, and Jude as supplementing Paul’s teaching (2 Peter 3:15, 16). Even Peter acknowledged that some of Paul’s writings were difficult to understand. But, believe it or not, we can know more than the Apostle Paul did because he died before John wrote the Book of Revelation. The Apostle Paul rebuked the Christians in Galatia for trying to come to spiritual maturity by keeping the Mosaic Law (See the Book of Galatians.)  Are you trying to live by rules other than those that were designed for you as a New Testament believer?

Sermon On The Mount. This was addressed to Jews (not to Christians) who were anticipating the Kingdom of the Heavens (Matthew 5-7; Daniel 2:44, 45). It was postponed because of the Jew’s rejection of their Promised Messiah (Matthew 16:20; 23:37-39; John 1:11). God holds all men accountable for the death of Christ, not just the Jews (Acts 3:13-15; 4:27, 28). It was your sins and mine that put Him on that cross. He paid our debt by dying for our sins (Romans 6:23; 1 Peter 3:18). God the Father demonstrated His satisfaction with Christ’s death by raising Him from the dead (Romans 4:25; 1 John 2:2; 4:10). Have you placed your faith in Him alone to save you? If not, why not trust Him now?

Time. God’s time clock will start up again for the Jews after “the fullness of the Gentiles has come in” (Romans 11:25) and the Body of Christ, which is the Church is complete (John 6:37; 1 Corinthians 12:12, 13; Ephesians 1:20-22; 2:15). The Tribulation begins when the man of sin signs the 7 year covenant with the Jews (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 6:19).  This will take place after the Rapture of the Church (John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52; 1 Thessalonians 1:9; 4:13-18; 5:9).

Chart. We have a FREE “Dispensations” chart for you on our website: http://kelseypeach.com/Kelsey.8.pdf  It is not original with us, but is a compilation of material we’ve received from various Bible teachers. This information really helped me personally as I sought to understand the Bible better. It is the result of a normal, literal, grammatical interpretation of the Bible.

Help. It is our aim in life to try to glorify God (1 Corinthians 10:31) by assisting unbelievers to come to faith in Christ through the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) and then helping new believers grow spiritually (2 Peter 3:18) so they can serve God effectively (1 Peter 4:10), and reproduce themselves (Matthew 28:19, 20). 1 Peter 5:10, 11

“One of the most crucial lessons to learn as a Christian is how to handle suffering. In this fallen world, suffering is a certainty. And, it will make you grow bitter or better, depending on how you handle it. – Steve Cole

Jesus said, “If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you” (John 15:20). The Apostle Paul wrote, “…all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:12). But “[our God] is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen” (Ephesians 3:20, 21). Let’s consider –

The Benefactors. “Every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (James 1:17). He is the God of all grace (unmerited favor) who called believers to share in His glory (1 Peter 5:10; Romans 8:17, 18). He and God the Son and God the Holy Spirit share the same essence and Divine nature (John 4:24; 10:30). There is one God who exists as three Persons (Deuteronomy 6:4; Genesis 1:27; John 14:16). The subordination of the two Persons in the Godhead relates to time (the seven dispensations) and God’s decree (Ephesians 1:11; John 14:16). Once eternity future begins, there will be no more subordination of one Person to the others (1 Corinthians 15:28). There are at least 1,0007 years before God creates a new heavens and earth (Revelation 21:1). After the Rapture of the true Church, there will be 7 years of Tribulation (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 6-19), and then the 1,000 year reign of Christ on/over the earth (Revelation 20:1-6). If Christ were to return today, would you be left behind?

The Beneficiaries. God is a good God who delights in the happiness of others (Matthew 19:17). But He won’t make us happy unless we’ve believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as the One who died for your sins…and rose again bodily from the dead (Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). If you’re a believer living a life of sin (lawlessness), He will give you an opportunity to repent (change your mind) and make honest confession of your sins (2 Corinthians 7:9; 1 John 1:9; Proverbs 28:13). If you don’t do this, He will chasten you (Hebrews 12:5-11). He could even take you life prematurely if you commit the sin unto death (1 John 5:16, 17; James 5:19, 20; 1 Corinthians 10:8-10; 11:30). Are you a “professor” who claims to be a Christian, or are you a “possessor” of eternal life (Matthew 7:21-23; 1 John 5:11-13)? Are you believing in vain (1 Corinthians 15:2)? If you’re a Christian, God wants to live out His eternal life through your life so others can learn about Him (Galatians 2:20; 4:19).

The Benediction. If you are suffering and/or being persecuted for being and acting like a Christian should (John 15:20; Timothy 3:12), keep in mind that there is coming a day when there will be no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain (Revelation 21:4). Believers who die in the Lord are resting in peace (R.I.P.). In God’s presence there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). But this is not so with unbelievers who die (Luke 16:19-31; See Matthew 15:30, 41, 46; Revelation 21:8). God will use the believer’s suffering to perfect us, establish us, strengthen us, and settle us (1 Peter 5:10; See Romans 8:28, 29). Nothing can separate God’s children from His love (Romans 8:35-39). Are you sure that you are one of His children rather than a child of the devil (John 8:44; 1 John 3:9, 10)? Have you been “born again from above” (John 3:3-5)?

 1 Peter 5:8, 9

When it comes to the subject of the devil, two mistakes are often made by many people, including Christians. Some folks joke about him while others ignore him. Both of these responses are dangerous positions to take.

Warning. The Apostle Paul warned Timothy that in the latter times some people would depart from the faith and give heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. They would speak lies in hypocrisy, having their consciences seared with a hot iron. They would tell people not to marry and abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth (1 Timothy 4:1-5; See Acts 10:14, 28). He told Timothy to preach the word with authority and to be ready in season and out of season because many people would seek to follow teachers with itching ears who would tell the people what they want to hear (2 Timothy 4:1-4).

Ignorance. The Apostle Peter, having given in to a temptation from the devil to play the role of a coward (Luke 22:31, 32; Matthew 26:74), was well aware of Satan’s tactics. They seem to be intensifying in our day and we need to know the truth about him so we who are true Christians can resist and overcome him (James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8, 9; 1 John 4:4) after we have put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-17). Let’s not be ignorant of his tactics (2 Corinthians 2:11).

Satan’s Activities

Independence. He seeks to provoke believers to rely on themselves rather than on God (See John 15:5; 1 Corinthians 4:7; Philippians 4:13). As a result of King David’s yielding to Satan’s solicitation to number and rely on his troops rather than on God Himself, 70,000 Israelite men died (1 Chronicles 21:1). The leaders of the world have made and will make decisions to engage in unjust wars and in the future billions of people will die. Do you know how many people will die during the seven years of the Tribulation when the devil, the anti-Christ, and the false prophet are in charge? It will be over ½ of the world’s population (Revelation 6:8; 9:15). If God allowed them to have power for more than seven years, no one would survive (Matthew 24:22). By the way, not all wars are unjust and some have been ordered by God Himself (Deuteronomy 20:17-20). God gave the wicked nations in the land of Canaan 400 years to repent but they didn’t (Genesis 15:16; Leviticus 18:24). God is long suffering and wants people to be saved (2 Peter 3:9; 1 Timothy 2:4). But there will come a day when He will judge the unrepentant and unbelievers (John 5:22; 2 Timothy 4:8). You and I can cause great harm to others too if we act like the heathen and the Israelites who sacrificed their live babies to the pagan god Molech (Leviticus 18:21; Jeremiah 32:35). Can God forgive the sin of murder and other sins (Exodus 20:13; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)? Yes! He forgave King David, King Manasseh, and the Apostle Paul (2 Samuel 12:9; 2 Chronicles 33:1-20; Acts 8:1-3).

Victims. He roams the world to find victims to overwhelm (1 Peter 5:8). He’d like for believers to become bitter and have an unforgiving spirit (Hebrews 12:15; 2 Corinthians 2:10, 11) and get them to curse God and die for not protecting them from harm and danger (Job 2:9). The patriarch Job was an upright man and became the object of Satan’s abuse. He was allowed by God to strip Job of his children, his wealth, and his health (Job 1, 2). He became a prime example of our need to trust God even when things are going badly (Proverbs 3:5, 6; 1 Thessalonians 5:18). Do you do this?

Blindness. The Scriptures talk about three kinds of spiritual blindness: Natural blindness. This keeps all unbelievers from understanding many things in the Scriptures or think of them as simply being foolish (1 Corinthians 1:18-25; 2:14; 3:19). Satanic blindness. He spiritually blinds the minds of unbelievers to prevent them from understanding the power of the Gospel to save Jews and non-Jews (2 Corinthians 4:4; Romans 1:16, 17). Judicial blindness. This was imposed on the Jewish people because of their rejection of their promised Messiah (Romans 11:25; Matthew 27:25). Only God Himself can remove these three blinds from people’s spiritual eyes after the Gospel has been presented to them by a human agent (1 John 4:4; Romans 1:16).

Darts. Satan has in his arsenal 14 fiery, mental darts that he directs at a believer’s mind but only if God allows it (Ephesians 6:10-17). Disappointment, discouragement, doubt are very effective tools he uses to bring Christians down and cause them to lose their power from God (Philippians 3:10; 4:13). Do you know what the other 11 temptations are and how to overcome them? They are not to be confused with the temptations that come from our old sin nature (Galatians 5:19-21; See 1 john 1:8) or from the present world system (1 John 2:15-17; 1 Corinthians 7:31; Genesis 4:17-24).

Hinder. Whenever he can, he tries to hinder those who are engaged in the work of evangelizing the lost with the Gospel of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) and the edification of believers (1 Thessalonians 5:11) for their work of service (1 Thessalonians 2:18; 1 Peter 4:10). He encourages and promotes greedy, false teachers who do his bidding (Ephesians 2:2; 2 Timothy 3:1-9). Beware of the “health, wealth, and happiness preachers” (2 Peter 2:15; Jude 1:11; Revelation 2:14).

Doubt. He undermines the Word of God by casting doubt on it (Genesis 3:1). He often uses false teachers to twist the Scriptures (2 Peter 3:16). Many of them use the allegorical rather than the normal, historical, grammatical method of interpreting the Scriptures (Matthew 13:19; Genesis 3:1).

Angel. Believe it or not, he can transform himself into an angel of light so as to try to deceive other good angels (2 Corinthians 11:14). He drew 1/3 of the angels with him in his rebellion against God (Revelation 12:4). They became demons and are destined for the eternal lake of fire (Matthew 25:41, 46). This Biblical teaching stands in sharp contrast to the false teachers who teach and promote the “universal reconciliation” (salvation) of all of God’s creatures in the end.

Satan’s Future

Abyss. After the seven years of the tribulation (Daniel 9:27; See Jeremiah 30:7; Matthew 24:15ff) the devil will be captured by a low ranking angel and will be bound in the Abyss for 1,000 years while the Lord Jesus Christ rules on/over the earth (Revelation 20:1-6; Isaiah 9:6, 7). But when the 1,000 years are over the devil will be released from the Abyss for a brief time. He will gather to himself those who inwardly rebelled against Christ during His 1,000 year reign on earth (Revelation 20:7-9). Then Christ will cast the devil, his angels (demons) and the unbelievers into the lake of fire where they will suffer forever (Revelation 20:10). God is a righteous and holy God and must/will sentence the unbelievers to that awful place. There are no second chances to be saved once a person dies (Hebrews 9:27). Don’t be misled by false teachers who teach otherwise. God cannot lie (Titus 1:2). His Word is truth (John 17:17).

Conclusion: Therefore, if you still are a child of the devil (John 8:44; 1 John 3:9, 10), you need to be “born again from above” (John 3:3-6) so you can become a child of God by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for your sins…and rose again bodily on the third day (Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). Believers need to “Be sober, be vigilant; because our adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. [Having submitted yourself to God, and having put on the whole armor of God], resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (1 Peter 5:8, 9; James 4:7; Ephesians 6:10-17).

Recently, while I was teaching a Bible study at our church and over the Internet to some people around the world, the GPS on my cell phone identified me as being at “The *** Inferno.” One of my listeners pointed this out to me. Perhaps some of you who listened in were wondering if it was “A message from hell.” As hard as I tried to remove this location from my cell phone, I wasn’t able to do so. It’s still on there.

Story. All this reminded me of the story that Jesus told about the rich man who died and went to Hades to suffer for eternity (Luke 16:19-31). He asked Father Abraham to send Lazarus, the former beggar, to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool the rich man’s tongue because He was being tormented by the flames. He also wanted Lazarus to go back to earth to warn his five brothers so they wouldn’t end up there in that awful place. But Abraham told him that this wasn’t possible. He said, “If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.”

Destiny. Folks, once we die, our eternal destiny will have been determined by what we did with the Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day. If our faith was resting in Him alone to save us, we will spend eternity with God in heaven (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8, 9). If not, all unbelievers will end up with the devil and his angels in the lake of fire forever (Matthew 25:41, 46). We don’t want you or anyone else to go there.

Internet. The world wide web is part of the devil’s present world system (Ephesians 2:2; 6:12; John 12:31). It’s like a web that ensnares others into his system (1 John 2:15; 5:19). Maturing Christians may use it, but we are not to abuse it (1 Corinthians 7:31; See James 4:1-4). We’ve been told that the Internet is also now under the control of the United Nations. That’s frightening. Who has the power to shut it down? Image the panic that would come on the people of this world if they didn’t have their cell phones or the Internet. I’ve read that if an EMP “electromagnetic pulse” bomb was set off high in the the atmosphere over the middle of our country it could knock out virtually everything that is electronically controlled. This would include our cell phones, computers, automobiles, and many other things upon which we depend every day.

GPS. Most people’s cell phones have “Global Positioning Systems” on them. This enables others to know where you are at any given moment. It amazes me that I can call people on their cell phones and the system can find them wherever they are. All around us there are signals of which most of us are not aware. It’s like the unseen spirit world where we have angels and demons working behind the scenes to influence and control human beings (Daniel 10:13; Ephesians 6:12; Hebrews 1:14; Colossians 1:16). In my case, while I was broadcasting my Bible study live over the Internet, the GPS positioned me in the wrong place, at the “Inferno” in my town. I’ve never been there.

Spies In The Sky. Satellites way above the earth have the capabilities of seeing things on earth. I recall using “Google Earth” to locate the house in which I lived in Japan as I was growing up. I was able to go to the street level view and figure out the day of the week and the approximate time the picture was taken by the shadows and the surroundings. Enemy nations are working on laser beams that can render these satellites useless.

Computers. Some of them have the capabilities of using facial recognition to identify people. High tech cameras are supposedly able to pick up people’s finger prints or information from their eyes. Bar codes and other chips are being used in passports, credit cards, on items for sale to control travel and commerce. Recently someone was able to hack into our credit card information to purchase items. The credit card company suspected unusual activities and contacted us to determine if we had indeed purchased certain items. We hadn’t and so they issued us another credit card.

666. This is called “The number [mark] of the beast” (Revelation 13:11-18). The “beast” refers to the Antichrist’s character, not as he will appear to the people of this world. This individual will be very persuasive and will be able to perform the same three kinds of miracles that Jesus and His apostles did while there were on earth (John 20:31; 2 Thessalonians 2:9; Acts 2:22; 2 Corinthians 12:12). Those who don’t take his mark will not be able to buy or sell without it and many of them will die physically. But those who take it on their hand or head during the “seven years of the great tribulation” will be doomed forever (Revelation 14:9, 10). This kind of technology is already being used on animals and some people, including some fire fighters and police officers. Some of these RFID chips are the size of a grain of rice and are being put into their hands. Some people prefer doing business this way rather than carrying around money and other forms of ID. Do you know how to avoid the awful tribulation that is coming, perhaps much sooner than most people believe?

Things To Come. The Scriptures tell us that two New World Orders are coming to this earth. The first one will be Satan’s New World Order. Thankfully it will last for only seven years (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 12:14; Jeremiah 30:7). If God allowed it to go on any longer, no flesh on earth would survive (Matthew 24:22). This will be a counterfeit to Christ’s kingdom on earth that will last for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-6). During the reign of the Antichrist (Man of Sin) over one half of the world’s population will die (Revelation 6:8; 9:15). It will come to an end when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to this earth to rule as the King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16; Matthew 24:29 ff). Satan, the Antichrist, the false prophet and all unbelievers who followed the devil will be defeated and removed from the earth.

Peace On Earth. Following this, Jesus Christ and His Bride, the true Church, will rule over the earth for 1,000 years from the New Jerusalem which, we believe, will be like a satellite city circling the earth once a day (Revelation 1:7; 21:9-27). The Jews will be the predominate nation on earth (Deuteronomy 28:13), and resurrected King David will reign over the Jews and all other lesser kings on the earth (Jeremiah 30:9; Daniel 12:12). Some of the resurrected Old Testament believers will be judges and rulers over the people who will repopulate the earth (Isaiah 1:26; Luke 19:17).

No Comparison. The technological advancements of mankind are nothing compared to the abilities that Jesus Christ, the God-man has. He is all knowing and wise (John 2:24; Isaiah 46:10), all powerful (Ephesians 3:20; Revelation 1:8), loving and gracious (1 John 4:8; Ephesians 2:8; 1 Peter 2:3), long suffering (2 Peter 3:9), and willing to forgive those who believe on Him as their personal Savior (Matthew 9:6; Ephesians 1:7). But He is also holy (1 Peter 1:15, 16), and righteous and must punish sinners who reject His offer of salvation (John 3:18, 36; 2 Timothy 4:8).

Invitation. God graciously invites you and every other human being to put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins…and rose again bodily on the third day (Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). You can accept Him and receive eternal life or you can reject Him and it (1 John 5:11-13). Please make the right decision today! This is the only moment you have (2 Corinthians 6:2). Our lives are like a vapor that appears for a little time and then it vanishes away (James 4:14; See Proverbs 27:1).

“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to destruction, and a house divided against a house falls” (Luke 11:17). From this may we conclude that the United States of America is coming to an end as a constitutional republic? With what kind of government might it be replaced? If you had your druthers, what would you like? Why isn’t the United States specifically mentioned in Bible prophecy?  Democracies are destined to fail eventually. Do you know why?

Democracies. “A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.”  Alexis de Tocqueville

Government. It has also been said that any form of government, whether it be socialism, communism, a monarchy, a theocracy, or even fascism, is better than anarchy and lawlessness. During the days of the Judges in the Old Testament times, prior to their becoming a monarchy, many of the Jews were doing what was right in their own eyes (Judges 21:25). They disregarded the Ten Commandments that God had given to them to regulate their lives for their own good and that of the Jewish community. As a result of this, enemy nations subjugated and enslaved them until a Judge came to deliver them. The cycle went on for several hundred years: From silence to sins to servitude to supplication to salvation and back to silence.

Laws. The Mosaic Law was not made for righteous people, but for the lawless and profane, for murderers of fathers and mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and for those who engage in other kinds of sinful behavior (1 Timothy 1:9, 10; See Galatians 5:19-21).

Perilous Times. The Apostle Paul predicted that in the last days perilous times would come. Men and women would be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God. They would have a form of godliness but they would deny its power (2 Timothy 3:1-5). Does this describe our nation as a whole? What about you as an individual?

Peace. The world is longing for peace on earth. But the men of the earth don’t know how to bring it in and make it last. They don’t have peace with God (Romans 5:1, 10; See Psalm 2) or the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6, 7). Prior to the 1,000 years of peace that will come to earth when Christ returns (Isaiah 9:6, 7; Revelation 20:1- 6), the Antichrist will be allowed to rule over the earth for 7 years (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 6-19). Were God to allow him to have world wide domination any longer than this, no flesh would survive on this earth (Matthew 24:22).  Do you know what event must precede the Seven Years of Tribulation  (John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)? It’s imminent and no signs precede it.  It’s sure, sudden, silent, selective, and satisfying.

Plan. To understand the times and the boundaries of nations that God has predetermined in His Word (Daniel 2:21; Acts 17:26), we must become students of the Scriptures (2 Timothy 2:15) and interpret the Bible normally, not allegorically (2 Peter 3:16). God didn’t leave us in the dark about the future. He’s omniscient and knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10; See John 2:24, 25). He promises a special blessing to those who read, hear, and keep (guard in their hearts) the truth about the future that is found in the Book of Revelation. (We have some FREE charts for those who ask for them. Understanding them could revolutionize your life like they did mine.)

Help. If you haven’t placed your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for your sins…and rose again bodily on the third day, we want to encourage you do so right now! We’re not saved by our good works (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5). We can help you have assurance of your salvation (1 John 5:13; Romans 8:16) and know that you will go to heaven the moment you die (2 Corinthians 5:8).
