Prepper = a person who believes a catastrophic disaster or emergency is likely to occur in the future and makes active preparations for it, typically by stockpiling food, ammunition, and other supplies.

My question – If you’re a “prepper,” are you preparing for time or for eternity? If you want to survive here on earth, for how many years ahead should you prepare? I’ve been told that one of the cults tells its people that they need to have two years of supplies stashed away. But what if hard times last for seven years as the Bible predicts (Daniel 9:27)? What preparations are you making for eternity? Will it be in heaven or hell? What you believe about Christ will determine your destiny. [1]

Uber-rich.” I’ve read that many of them are “preppers” who are storing and stockpiling things for hard times. [2] But if they are “left behind” and enter the “Seven years of the Tribulation” and face the Lamb’s (Christ’s) wrath, they will cry out to the mountains and rocks to hide them from what’s coming on them and the whole world.

Seal Judgment. During the sixth seal judgment this will happen. “And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!’” (Revelation 6:15-17).

Bowl Judgment. During the seventh bowl judgment, this is going to happen, “And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent [75-100 pounds]. Men blasphemed God [instead of begging for mercy] because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great” (Revelation 16:21).

Evacuation. You won’t want to be here, and you don’t have to be here on earth during this time. True Christians will be delivered from the wrath of the Lamb (referring to Christ) that it coming (1 Thessalonians 1:10; 4:13-17; 5:9; Revelation 3:10). You can become a Christian by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ alone, Who died for your sins, was buried for three days and nights, and then rose again bodily from the dead. We are NOT saved by our good works (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5). [2]

WWJD. These “What Would Jesus Do?” bracelets used to be quite popular with some Christians. They were used to start up a conversation with others about Jesus. But to do so, it’s important that we know who the Christ of the Scriptures is rather than the Christ of the cults. Which Jesus saves? [1]

To see our world and all that is in it more clearly, many of us need eye glasses. To see inside of our bodies, Doctors need X-ray equipment. To see things far away we need telescopes and microscopes to see very small things. To see into the future we need to turn to God’s infallible Word and interpret Bible prophecy [2] normally, historically, grammatically, and contextually as we do the rest of the Scriptures. One of the main reasons why we should believe the Bible is because of fulfilled prophecy. (See our Bible Study Book Marker & Dispensations Chart on our website.) [3]

But to see into the souls of people, with all their pains and struggles, we need “Jesus Glasses.” He saw people in their lost condition like sheep without a Shepherd. He offered Himself to them as their promised Messiah, but they didn’t recognize Him for Who He really was (John 1:11, 12). They wanted a political Deliverer, not a spiritual Savior from their sins. In fact, did you know that He turned down their offer to make Him their King because it would have been on their terms, not on God’s terms (John 6:15, 60-66; See Psalm 2)?

Just before He went to the cross to die for our sins…and rise again bodily on the third day, [4] Jesus looked over the city of Jerusalem and wept for the people (Jews) who rejected Him. He said, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! ‘See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’” (Matthew 23:37-39). This will happen at the end of the “Seven Years of Tribulation” or “The Time of Jacob’s [Israel’s] Trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7). [5] Believe it or not, these days seem to be just around the corner.

If you’re a Christian, when was the last time you wept over lost people, who are headed for the lake of fire to suffer forever with the devil and his angels/demons (Matthew 25:41, 46; Revelation 21:8)? Do you share the clear Gospel [4] with them on a regular basis or leave that up to the “professionals”? While most people will reject God’s offer of salvation because they love darkness rather than light (John 3:19), some will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior (John 1:12; 3:16, 18).

As He promised, He will return for His Body, the true Church (John 14:1-3), when all whom the Father has given to Him have come to Him and been saved, and have done some praiseworthy works (John 6:37, 44; 1 Corinthians 4:5). Are you ready for this event? Perhaps today!

Action Steps

If you haven’t placed your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, Who died for your sins, was buried, and Who rose again bodily on the third day, now is the time to do so. [4] There are no second chances to be saved from the lake of fire once you die physically (2 Corinthians 6:2; James 4:14; Hebrews 9:27). The Scriptures don’t teach reincarnation or the annihilation of the wicked dead as some cults teach.

Rather than living if fear during these uncertain days, Christians can/should keep looking up while anticipating and loving the imminent arrival of Christ. If we, as believers, do this, we will receive the “Crown of Righteousness” (2 Timothy 4:8). We can also earn the “Crown of Rejoicing” for pointing people to Christ (1 Thessalonians 2:19, 20).

Whether we eat or drink, or whatever we do, our primary goal in life should be to glorify God by making Him known to others (1 Corinthians 10:31). Are you doing this? If not, why?

[5] The Order of Coming Events

Many leaders in the world today would like to be “The Ruler of the World.” In a song of yesteryear, Tony Bennet sang, “If I ruled the world, Every day would be the first day of spring, Every heart would have a new song to sing, And we’d sing of the joy every morning would bring. If I ruled the world, Every man would be as free as a bird, Every voice would be a voice to be heard, Take my word we would treasure each day that occurred…” [1] Really?

John Lennon’s song“Imagine,” which is often sung at the Olympic games, proposes that we can get rid of heaven and hell by just imagining them away. This “ain’t going to happen, folks.” [2]

This “Satanically Empowered World Ruler” (Man of Sin – Antichrist) will come to offer world peace (Revelation 6:2-4). But it won’t last very long. Shortly after the 10 kings from the Revived Roman Empire have set him up to rule the world with them, he will wipe out three of them who have second thoughts about him because he apparently has mixed blood (Daniel 2:43; 7:8, 24).

God will allow him to rule over the whole world for seven years before the Lord Jesus Christ destroys him at the end of the 7 year Tribulation (Revelation 19:19-21). The philosophy of humanism will also be destroyed at this time. [3]

The Anti-christ (Man of Sin) is probably alive at this time and waiting in the wings for his “day in the sun.” After the first 3 ½ years he will be killed in war with Russia and her allies who want to take a spoil from the Jews in Israel (Ezekiel 38, 39). But miraculously he will be restored back to life (Revelation 13:3, 4), and will gain total control of the whole world for the last 3 ½ years known as the “Great Tribulation” (Matthew 24:15 ff).

This is why there will be silence in heaven for ½ hour when the 7th Seal Judgment takes place at the middle of the 7 year Tribulation (Revelation 8:1). It will be the first time in human history when a mere man will have complete domination of the whole world.

Sadly, during the seven years of the Tribulation, over ½ of the world’s population will die from the 21 plagues that will come on mankind (Revelation 6:8; 9:15). [4]

By the way, the diabolical globalists want to reduce the world’s population down to about 500 million people [5]. The devil and his agents are ruthless murderers (John 8:44) and are opposed to God and His plan for the ages. Are you familiar with it? If not, ask for more information.

If you’re “not a Christian,” or only a “nominal Christian” instead of a“true Christian,” now is the time for you to “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ alone, Who died for our sins…and rose again bodily from the dead on the third day” (Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). Keep this in mind – We are NOT saved from hell to heaven by our good works, or by our faith PLUS our good works (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5).

If you die physically without Him as your personal Savior, you will end up in the lake of fire with the devil and his angels forever (Matthew 25:41, 46; Revelation 21:8). We don’t want that to happen to anyone.

We’re here to assist you if you are teachable and willing to change and grow (2 Timothy 2:2, 15; 3:16, 17). We can be reached here or through our website:

[3] Humanism – The philosophy that rejects the idea or belief in a supernatural being such as God. This means that humanists class themselves as agnostic or atheist. Humanists have no belief in an afterlife, and so they focus on seeking happiness in this life.

For additional help, here are a few Gospel presentations (audio/video, or illustrated format):

“Man can live about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air … but only for one second without hope.”

Hope means “wishful thinking” to some people. But to us Christians hope is the confidant expectation we have that is based on a specific promise from God.

There are many promises that Christians can claim. We believe that the all powerful, faithful God will keep His promises to us in due time. We must be careful to distinguish between His promises to the Jewish nation and those that are given to the church. If you don’t do this you could become very disillusioned and bitter toward God and others.

Consider the promise Jesus gave to His disciples just prior to His going to the cross to die for our sins. He said, “…I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2, 3).

The Apostle Peter predicted that there would be skeptics who would scoff at this promise. They don’t realize that 1,000 years to us is like a day to God, and that He is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:3-9).

The hope of Christ’s any moment return for us can have a threefold effect on us.

“A Blessed Hope”

It can bring great joy and happiness into our lives as we think about this possibility. When the Rapture happens it’s not the end of this present world. There are at least 1,007 years left before the Lord destroys this earth and creates new heavens and a new earth.

But once Jesus returns at “The Rapture” for His true church, awful things will begin to transpire as the devil is allowed by God to establish his one world government and a one world church. Thankfully it will last only seven years.

Then Jesus Christ will return to this earth and destroy all His enemies and establish His millennial kingdom of peace and righteousness on earth. True Christians won’t be here on earth during the seven years of tribulation. Are you a true Christian?

“A Purifying Hope”

The possibility of Christ’s any moment return will help motivate us to live pure lives. We wouldn’t want to be doing anything that would bring shame or embarrassment on us.  God Himself is holy and pure. He wants all of His children to live morally pure lives in a polluted world. With God’s help, it’s possible.

“A Comforting Hope”

Until the Lord Jesus Christ returns at the Rapture, people will continue to die physically (Hebrews 9:27). Where a person spends eternity will depend on what he did in response to God’s command to “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31).

What is the “Good News” we must believe to be saved? It is that Christ died for our sins and rose again bodily from the grave on the third day.

Those Christians who have placed their faith in Christ alone will be saved from the Lake of Fire (Hell) and spend eternity with God. No amount of good works can save you (Ephesians 2:8, 9).

Salvation is a FREE gift that is offered to all mankind. Sadly, most people don’t reach out and accept it from God. Have you received it by faith?

When fellow believers die we sorrow but not as those who have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13). We know that we shall see them again with their new, heavenly bodies (1 Corinthians 15:51-57).

“Our Hope”

One might ask, “What is our hope?” You don’t have to live your life wondering if you will go to heaven when you die. You can be sure today.

God has given us a wonderful promise to claim. “These things I (the Apostle John) have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know (right now) that you have eternal life…” (1 John 5:13).

You might be the last person to place your faith in Christ before He returns for us. If God has been speaking to your heart through these words, why not trust Him right now?

Thank You For Saving Us

Thanks to the skills of airline pilot, Chesley B. Sullenberger III, 155 people’s lives were spared from a fiery death.  After a flock of birds damaged the airplane’s engines he was able to maintain his composure and bring the aircraft to a safe landing on the Hudson River.  No doubt the passengers on that flight will be ever grateful to him for the skills he displayed in that time of crisis.

Our Crisis

We, who live in the United States, as well as people in many countries around the world, are facing a similar crisis as our economy and the stock market plunges.  Some folks are expecting the government to bail them out of this crisis. Many are beginning to wonder what their future is going to look like.  Others have had their life savings wiped out and stolen by “crooks.”

The Depression

Some of you who are reading this article endured the depression of the 1930’s and know the agony associated with it.  Most of the younger generation has no idea how bad it was.

Who Is In Control?

While we don’t know the ultimate outcome of the current economic down turn, it’s very important to know the one who is in control of the situation.  Some think that the president of the country has the ultimate control.  Then there are those who think that the money changers manipulate the president as they would a puppet.

Spirit Beings?

But the Bible tells us that behind many of the human rulers of this world there are wicked spirit beings who control the minds of men and work in and through them (2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 6:12).  Some of these people claim to have “spirit guides.”  Just because we can’t see these spirit beings doesn’t mean they don’t exist.  We can’t see the wind either but we believe in its power.  Compressed air can be used for good or for evil.  The stuff we call air even keeps airplanes from falling to earth.

What’s Ahead Of Us?

The Scriptures tell us what is going to happen in the future.  Both a one world government and a one world religion are coming, perhaps sooner than we realize it.  Whether we want to be believe it or not, we need these two things more than ever before.  Lawless people of the world are getting out of hand just as the Bible predicted (2 Timothy 3).

A World Leader Is Desperately Needed

We need a powerful person very soon to rescue us from total destruction.  As good as a constitutional republic or a democracy may be, they eventually crumble when the common people discover that they can elect into office politicians who will take money from the public treasury to support them and their lifestyles.

Who Would You Pick For The Job?

Do you think that we are ready for a one world dictator?  If so, who would you want to rule the world?  Are you sure?  Many Germans thought Adolph Hitler was the promised “Messiah.”

Two Working As One

The Bible tells us that the coming false “Prince of Peace” will be elevated into power by 10 kings (rulers) of the revived Roman Empire (EU) and by the head of the apostate one world religion (Revelation 17:13).  He will be assisted by a “false prophet” whom many Bible scholars believe will be a Jew (Revelation 16:13).

The Mark Of The Beast

Together they will dominate the lives of all humanity for a brief period of time during the “Seven Years Of Tribulation” Daniel 9:27; Revelation 13:17).  Without the “mark of the beast” people won’t be able to buy or sell what they need to survive.

Half The Population Killed

Rather than bringing true peace to this earth, these two men will be responsible, directly or indirectly, for the deaths of over 3 billion people.  But their days will be numbered and they will be brought to a devastating end when the true “Prince of Peace” arrives on the scene (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 24:29ff; Revelation 19:20).

The Deceptive Pilot

Your eternal destiny depends on who your “pilot” is.  Lucifer (the devil) appears as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:4) and has deluded many people over the centuries.  He has lulled them into spiritual sleep (1 John 5:19).  Others have sold themselves to him and serve him so they can have his power.  They violently oppose the true and living God and His children (Ephesians 2:2). Is he your pilot?

The End Of Our Republic?

We may be coming to the end of our republic as we have known it for the last 230 years.  We may also be coming to the end of the “Dispensation of Grace” (Ephesians 3:2) with the seven years of tribulation just around the corner.  How much time is left for planet earth?  What does your future look like? Will you be kept from this time of tribulation or go into it?  Is so, what will happen to you?

It’s Time To Panic

If you aren’t a true child of God you may want to panic.  You should.  Your life is in grave danger (John 3:18, 36).  But if Jesus Christ is your personal Savior (Pilot) you can rely on Him to rescue you from an eternal hell where the devil and his angels will be sent to suffer forever.

The Transcendent One

No other religious leader died for our sins and rose again bodily from the grave but Jesus.  He is the God-man, the son of the virgin, Mary.  He lived a sinless life so He could offer Himself as our perfect substitute and die for our sins once for all (Hebrews 9:12).  Is He your personal Savior? Is He your “Pilot” who will get you safely to heaven?
